Chaps, just wondering, I'm sure its already come up etc etc - do we know if this figure will actually come with 2 bodies or is it up to us to buy an additional true-type? I did order one with the figure but I'm hoping I can actually use it for a fully clothed Dutch instead.

This figure comes with one body, it's basically a 2 in 1 set, the DX set is setup so you can swap outfits and heads from one to the other on the same body, or just put the new clothes and head on the v1 figure if you already have it. It also will help their profits by goating some folks into buying a spare TT to have both costumes active.

I thought so. So of the one regular true-type I have on order and the slim shouldered True-type thats at least one booked in for the 2nd purple suited Joker - probably the regular as I'm fine with how that looks as the base of my first purple suit joker and it allows me to try the slim shouldered true type with Tony Stark. That in turn, if hopefully it works out well, would free up another regular true type for my Guerilla camp assault Dutch....aaaand poor Harvey Dent will still be without a body. I just keep putting him on the backburner.

Except that if you're planning on putting the DX costume on the regular TT body it might be a problem. It's very possible that the coats, vest and shirt have been re-tailored slightly to fit the slim shouldered TT, in which case it could look pretty bad. (That's not definite, but it's a very strong possibility). Just something to keep in mind.

on the converse, i was thinking of using a new slim shoulder TT to put old version 1 Joker clothes on...that might make the jacket(s) fit better...

You could look at it that way. Or, you could look at it as lowering profits by giving some the option of displaying only one outfit at a time. They could've put the body in there, hiked the price by $40, and forced you to buy the spare body.

Yeah.. no one really knows for sure yet.. but all signs point to yes so far. It's obvious the Cop Joker is on one and will come with one.. so it really wouldn't make sense to pack in an outfit that WOULDN'T fit on the body included. So.. I personally think the DX Joker will come with a narrow shoulder TT and BOTH costumes will be made to specifically fit that body.

Yeah I guess it would be weird to have to buy a different body for the other costume

And I don't think it's coincidence that HT officially released the narrow shouldered TT right after they officially announced the full MMS DX Joker showing it would come with two costumes.

It's all a plan, they're selling a lot of TT's with many figures that can use spares. Tony Stark suit, DX Joker, Marcus Wright, off the top of my head. Two-Face's shipping right now to a lot of folks, they could use a spare for Dent.

Smart business for them, make figures where it sucks not having 2 bodies, then sell the body separate. Odds are, including a second body wouldn't raise the figure price much, but if they raised it $30 like a blank TT costs, they might not get sales either, so, they sell the figures, then sort of force sales of the spare body, a more profitable route for sure.

The TT's are the most easily accessible they've ever been, that's no accident.

Yup. I remember seeing a lot of people searching high and low for them (at one point myself included).. now suddenly they're real easy to find. And HT knows MOST people aren't going to swap out entire costumes for the 2 in 1 figures periodically. That would be a real pain in the ass to do.

And a number of folks either A) don't have v1 Joker, which HT considers because they stated long ago it would make up for people missing v1 or BR, and B) a lot of folks with v1 and BR head on it will likely want to keep that and have DX clown Joker setup in addition, so it's not like they'll slap the extras on the v1 body and will still need a spare TT.

Yeah I spent like $60+ for a TT once, really hard to find, now I can get 2 for that much. I've got 2 standards, 1 narrow and 1 slim on the way. Have to see how much difference the narrow really makes. The standard works good for some figures, I'll likely use one to upgrade my Will Turned to have an articulated neck.

The only thing I still can't figure is: what's coming up that would require the release of the Slim TT!? Is there an existing figure(s) that would utilize that body? Or is it for something new HT plans on putting out? Hmmm..
