Well, depending on what scene in the movie you look at, the lining goes either way, red or orange, though the red isn't as vibrant as the figure, but often colors come out more vibrant on toys because they're not worked on by costume crews.

As for his coat, why is it the inner part in his left hand looks like a great purple shade and be just fine if the final coat is that color, but the outer purple doesn't looks as purple

The outside of the coat is where it gets weathered more
DAMN, look at that painted head, looks SIIIIICK, really shows it off nicely, and the eyes are the right color, DARK brown, nearly black looking = sweet! Nice realistic gloss too!

Well hopefully like most production figures, it won't be as weathered in the end because I think the inside part is as close to perfect as we could hope for and I'd love the outside to look that way.

The actual coat's only really weathered on the lapels, shoulder seams and the edges, the main part of the fabric is a strong purple.

Always has been wrong, from v1 through DX, but if it's not going to be right, I'm at least glad it's the way it is. The other way to go wrong would be more neon green like the v1 proto and that'd look horrid. At least the color they use looks good, even if not accurrate.

The hair style always bugs me as well, they done the same thing with Bruce. Everything is tidy and cramped up on both heads.

The Joker had messy hair not perfectly positioned, there should be little strands here and there flowing down and ruffled up. It should look somewhat puffy.

It should look somewhat puffy.

That's the one thing I wish were different, I can understand the lack of loose strands, I think they convey that pretty good, BR head did anyway, but the overall mass to his hair seems smaller on the HT figures than most of the time on Ledger.

Snakes custom head sculpt does this so well, it makes it more lifelike. It adds realism!

That's a custom though, which is why I say I understand lacking it on production, without knowing the ins and outs of production, I can't say there is or isn't a reason in production to not have loose strands, they may have trouble with it, customs have the benefit of only needing to do it one time, or one head at a time instead of mass turning out the same pieces in the thousands.

How's that any different to a PF? the head sculpt is a static piece. I find that hard to believe in this modern day of age.

It's always about money and profits. More money less work.

PF's are larger, usually one solid piece of polystone could make a difference.

Again, I don't know the ins and outs of production, but I'm sure some decisions are made based on what's doable or not. Hot Toys did do some strand work on Joker, but I imagine there's a reason for only going so far with it, and I can't imagine going further would ass cost to them.

Single and loose strands are too much. I'm fine with what they've done and what they are doing. The detail on the hair is incredible. It's so intricate and well done. Each hair on his head is sculpted. What you guys are suggesting would not only make it more fragile but more time consuming to make.

They could go into "real" hair but at what point do these stop being "toys" or figures and become movie props and the real deal? You've got to have a line drawn somewhere.

These are toys? I wasn't aware. I sure don't play with them. Says collectible on the boxes.

I had "toys" in quotations.

A car can be considered a new toy can it not? When we pose them it can be considered play, no?

I don't sit there having "battles" with my collectibles and I certainly understand that these are high end, but they originated from toys and they are a form of toy. Hell, toys are collectible. We're buying from a company called Hot Toys.

After the hair people will ask where the shoe laces are. After the shoe laces people will demand rubber "skin" to hide the "ugly joints". Then rubber faces for moving jaws. After that, give the Batman figure the same birth mark that Christian Bale has on his ass, and the same tattoos that Ledger wore. Then after that having them ALL be autonomically correct. There's got to be a fine line. Not for the hobby but in terms of authenticity and accuracy.

Things are great how they are in my opinion why bog it down with more experimental innovations? Keep going and it'll get cheaper and more flimsy. It would be a nightmare swapping heads if they made even a few strands of hair.

For these Jokers (yes plural I still think the Bank Robber V2 head is better than this DX one. From the hair to the interrogation style paint job) we've got great sculpts, accurate clothing (about as accurate as you can get with this line), terrific paint apps, great accessories, fantastic articulation and now moving eyes. And for the collectibles that they are, they are pretty durable.

Oh and speaking of additions I wish HT would have made atleast two more hands.

A fist and an index pointing finger is all he needs.

Point gesture.

"And as for the, uh, television's so called PLAN? Batman has no jurisdiction. He'll find him and make him SQUEAL."

Fist gesture.
