I do have reservations too. As far as the non-cop stuff, the head's the only thing I'm confident in, that's pretty much a piece of cake for them at this point, paint'll look good, detail'll be there.

Now, whether the gloved hands look more purple and the coat, that's up in the air because it didn't happen on v1 and not knowing those reasons, nothing says it won't on v2. The first Jack Sparrow had an almost black coat in his proto and production was chocolate brown.

Guh, I REALLY hope it is vibrant, but looking at the whole package pic, the Cop looks very blue so appears the pic has been altered colour wise.

So why do they keep allowing these mistakes to happen? what's the excuse this time?

They can't supposedly say they don't have enough reference images. The film has been out how long now?...

I don't know what their excuse is, maybe they just don't give a ^^^^ and figure as small as it is, who'd care.

However, really, in a case like this, where you're rehashin, even if the target is new customers, you're going to get ones that had the first figure, and there will be an expectation that your redoing it is in part to correct your mistakes. A wrong suspender pattern and jacket lining is like ok, how'd you miss that. The lapels I'm torn on, some shots look same as v1, others look much flatter and more down on his chest.

The only thing worrying me is, do you think the coat wil still be nice and rich purple in colour in production?

The V1 looked bright at proto stage and look at the above pic!

Another thing worth noting is the swatches sent out in those evidence bags. I remember one of the recipients claiming, after comparing the material to the V1 coat, that they were in fact the same color.:sick

I wouldn't say altered, but as a photographer, depending on your settings with the camera, the shots will have a certain color temperature to them and if that temperature is based off of the wrong point in the field of the shot, it'll change the appearance of other colors within the shot.

Guh. Now THAT isn't good.

Just have to hope and wait and see I guess. :monkey4

Which might be ok. The v1 is capable of looking purple in the right light. I think the actual used fabric may be why it looks so black a lot of times, it's some weird, shiny material, can't really describe it better than that, where this new one looks more like traditional cloth.

Worries, no. Jumping on you, no. A simple question. :)

I just can't get over how Hot Toys, the elite, best of the best. Movie Masterpieces labeled as.... and they still cannot get these little details fixed. Whether it be braces, coat/flaps/liner colour.

Maybe MaulFan is right, maybe they really don't give a toss? :s

Everytime there's inaccuracies, there is another figures release. Looks like 3rd times a charm is out of the question. ;)

No, I'm not taking it personal. Do it right, or don't do it at all.

I sent Hot Toys an e-mail.

Just saying that the lining in the overcoat and sports coat should be burnt orange. The sports coat should be blueish. The back of the vest should be a dark blue. And the tie could use more accurate colors.

So unload on them and maybe they'll change it (if these aren't already planned).
:devil

After thinking since this morning, I've decided to pass.

I can see how it's more tempting for someone who really wants the posable eyes, but since I find a pose and leave it, I'm happy with the BRJ head. I might buy the coat by itself. The rest of the outfit doesn't seem changed much, if at all. There are quite a few ways I could see HT improving it, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it come with the inevitable Nurse Joker (for those of you regretting getting V1 and 2, I think now is a good time to learn from mistakes).

BRJ was an easy choice, since I wanted the bank robber anyway. I'm still not completely sold on the likeness of this cop sculpt. Hardly any discussion on what's supposed to be the "main" figure!

At this point, it's reasonable to expect Nurse Joker to come with clothes that fit even better, thinner inner coat, correct suspenders, correct socks, better closure on the vest, better shirt collars, correct tie design, correct lining color on the outer coat, as well as a head that features everything on this one. Perhaps an extra smiling sculpt.

Today I bought a Super Nintendo, and now I hear that they have already released something called Nintendo 64?

:lol I get the joke but it's a bad example. Look at the dates:

1985 NES
1991 SNES
1996 N64
2001 GameCube
2006 Wii

Consoles always last 4 - 5 years before a new one comes out. Video game companies are good about that. A better and more accurate example would've been stupid ass DVD's which DO have so many "upgraded" variants within months that it's sickening. First the Regular Edition and Collectors Edition. Then the Deluxe Collectors Edition. Then the Super Deluxe Collectors Edition with scenes not in the previous releases because some ass hat couldn't add them in or something!? THEN.. once you have that.. it's done. Right?

NOPE..

Then comes the Ultra Super Deluxe Baby Jesus on a T-Rex Collectors Edition with even more previously unreleased material that somehow couldn't make it to the previous DVD that ALSO included previously unreleased material.

:sick

It's up for pre-order at Toys2 for $179.00. Joe has it for $200.

Toys2 will be about same as Joe once shipping is factored for non-Canadian buyers.

https://www.urban-collector.com/hot-toys-joker-police-officer-figure.html

Price: $179.99

Shipping within US - About 7 or 8 dollars.

What shipment are these from though? The pre-order Joe is currently offering is for the HT shipment which is expected around the end of July. That's why the price is higher at $199.95 + $9.95 S&H in the U.S. Joe has already stated the DCD shipment isn't expected until "The Fall" and that Pre-order through DCD will be cheaper. So like for Toys2.. will you have to pay about the same as you would for Joe but then not receive your figure(s) until Fall!?

My main problem is that nobody really cares about the Cop version. If they only sold it with the normal outfit, it would be a lot cheaper and affordable for more people.

Wishlist for the redux outfit:

-Real functioning tie
-Proper size neck collar with button
-Buttons on the vest. I can deal with velcro on the shirt

It's weird to know that when this comes out I'm going to have 4 Jokers on my Dark Knight shelf.
