They may be petty, but if HT are claiming this is 'deluxe', they really should be nailing all of these valid points, as they are not difficult to fix/get right.

Yea I totally agree with you dude. I mean, listening to fans is good, but how come HT could miss out some OBVIOUS FLAWS? They would've a copy of BLU-RAY TDK by now.. and they SHOULD watch and pause and rewind and whtever to get the detail right !! Isn't that what's it about ?

They are the ones who got paid... and if we could find the sources ONLINE for FREE to provide them the accurate colours, WHY CAN'T they do it ? (seriously, they have a team of people, working full time for this man)

Exactly. However, I do think there's a hierarchy of priorities to follow. As much as I'd love if HT actually worked hard and nailed all of the details being pointed out, I don't see it happening.

I think a focus on the most noticable "off" elements would at least get a fighting chance of those things getting corrected. If they get 5 comments on the coat, 3 comments on socks, 4 comments on suspenders, they're going to be split as to what to really focus on. 20 comments about the coat with 3 on sock and 4 on suspenders, they get the message that the coat color and all is very important to people.

Like I said before, are the socks off, yeah, but in the collecting world, I dont' see every detail being right, so why give a ^^^^ about the socks you'll never see when a focused effort could make for the best coat, which is a primary wardrobe element.

I really seem to think it will be just a drastic colour change on the coat and POSSIBLY the liner. (if we're lucky)

The responses Germaine gave were mainly after Casper did the great p/s comparison which was a colour boost.

Which would be fine with me. The innaccurracies all would be nice to have fixed, but I really want the coat to be clearly purple. When I had only seen the movie a few times and had a lousy bootleg and internet photos that varied in brightness etc. I didn't pick up on and care too much about the coat color on the v1, but when I got the DVD and saw how it was on screen crystal clear, it annoyed me that in the movie, the purple is blatant, on my figure you have to fight to see the purple tint in the highlights.

The suspenders aren't the exact right pattern but they're pretty close, the socks aren't the exact right pattern but they capture the style, the lining isn't the exact right base color but there are clear moments in the movie where it leans towards a red, even though it's weathered.

As far as the inaccurracies go, everything seems to be more of a close, but jsut off the mark except the coat. If the coat doesn't look purple, it completely loses the feel of the character, it's as defining as his hair being green, his face white, etc. If the lining is more red than orange, it's not accurrate but it maintains the look of the character, if the coat looks mainly black, then it almost looks like just some gangster in makeup and purple pants. Ledger Joker's shirts aren't overly eccentric in color, even the green vest, I've seen tuxes for rent in shops with them so it's not clowny persay, but the purple pants and coat is what sets him out as the Joker.

That's exactly what I want too. Second most wanted change would be a correct color suit jacket. That blue tinge really adds the mix-and-match 'whackiness' of the costume. Grey brings the whole look down.

Completely agree and hopefully HT will recognise this and amend accordingly. If it is not fixed, I may even sell the mob gear and just keep Cop Joker.

To reinforce my point about the suit jacket:

I'd probably rank that 3rd, I find the inner lining because of the length in the back you see it between the legs and all, it shows more than the sport coat, futzed to match the film, the purple coat pretty much leaves all but a sliver showing, though I suppose if your display plan is the grenade reveal it'll be of a bigger impact.

I want it to be the right color, but even if it's just like my v1, I'll still like it more, odds are it's wired, the lapels look nicer and the fabric's texture is more like the film, so it'll still be a better coat than the v1, but it could be a perfect coat with a few small tweaks.

I can't get over the portrait for this figure, other than a few things different with the hair, this is exactly how I would want a Ledger Joker portrait to look if I could only have one figure head.

I used to think that would be the same view for me, but the more I look at my Joker as he stands now, I am pretty much sorted except would like more purple. From some of the pics, the lapels do not look any better than what mine is.

For me, the biggest upgrade is the wire, I really think it has that, and the fabric. The v1 is almost silky in its smoothness, his real coat was pretty textured, which this new one looks to be also.

...but you did major adjustment to your entire figure.

you cut the blazer sleeves, padded the jacket shoulders (i think...), and used billyb shirt and tie...so if you look at the pics of the dx vs an average v1 joker, there is a big difference in the lapels.

Having said all that, joker's hair was never THAT green either was it? They make it a complete definite green, instead of a browny blondey transition into the green

Here's a promo shot of the actual suit:

imo that recoloring of the blazer is too bright and too blue. I'm assuming the actual color is slate blue, which is essentially grey with a hint of blue. I think this is closer:

Recolored the shirt/blazer and overcoat/liner.

Sport coat coloring is better, lining is too much on the yellow side of orange and should be on the red side.

I like how KBA slightly altered the color of the vest. It's a shade greener, closer to the movie vest. Otherwise, beside the coat, it's all minutiae to me.

I never noticed how dirty Joker's gloves were. Might want to weather the gloves when I get the figure.
