my freak flag has only recently been allowed to fly. and my girl thought it was cute at first, but i've been spending more and more time trolling this site and she's starting to get a little weirded out. plus the packages that arrive from all over the globe with doll clothes and parts in them.
anyway, i made the mistake of letting her know how much some of the customs go for--my idea had been that because i had seen someone put a custom joker head up for sale at about half price, telling her how much i was 'saving' would lubricate the experience. i was wrong. moreover, i lost out on the sale. but i still want the custom joker and now am facing having to order one from the artist at full price.

Sounds like me when I first started collecting 1:6. Im surprised at how much I get away with with my better half, but I usually hear about it in some way. Its more nagging about how the money could go to more vacations or such than anything else.

Convert her , tell her that Batman is the greatest super hero with no special powers , the only powers he has is his money , she will think he's awesome because he's rich and can buy her handbags & shoes

I would if I could, but I've passed all my comic knowledge to her and she just doesn't dig the bats at all! She says he is too broody and emo. She is a Stark fan boy. >.>

my wife nit picks here and there but when I showed her the HT Hulk she was like sooooo how do I preorder this? Low and behold she has it preordered on her credit card. Ever since the Avengers she loves the Hulk and wants to collect stuff now. I believe I am slowly molding a monster

She likes certain characters, but doesnt like others:

Likes:
Indiana Jones, Jack Sparrow, Sweeney Todd, Batman, Superman, Heath Joker, Baby Doll, Thor, Iron Man, etc.

Doesnt like:
Any Horror figures, Any Arnold Schwarzenegger figures, Any Predators or Aliens, Jack Nicholson Joker, etc.

got me to sell my classic exclusive haha
still have my wolf cleaner kit bt she said fine keep one
and my huge neca 18inch alien hiding (made me keep that away from sight)

My wife would never be able to convince me to sell my Classic. Its one of my favorites. Shed having to be walking out the door before I caved on that one.

But thankfully for me she understands my love for these films and characters within them.

Understandable. I was saving my SS rewards points up for Hulk, so ended up getting him for $230, which is better than $300.

But yeah, after this wave of pre-orders, things are going to cool down I think. Aside from HT getting the BttF license and the new Robocop, there really isnt anything they have announced that makes me go "MUST HAVE".

Oh...and still waiting on the Ichabod Crane that they teased a year ago now.

BttF- I only need Doc, Marty and the Delorean. Which Im sure HT will do all three.

Will be great to have DX Batman 89' Posed next to the 89' Batmobile and Marty and Doc posed with the Delorean in 1:6 scale!

doc and marty and the delorean are the essential ones.

but that would cost an estimated 1k or more depending on the dx or mms versions and the complexity of the car.
would be awesome and if i make my masters, maybe just maybe i can afford it next year.
