How is the DX11 a better deal? I am not saying it isnt I am asking you to clarify why u think it is a better deal.

Since I have both I can tell you that enterbay's coat is better than the Joker 2.0 one as well as the head sculpt, so there are actually two things better than the DX11 IMO.

Well i don't think the enterbay coat is better, the material looks better but it's looks kinda thin.
How is the dx11 a better deal u ask: 2 headsculpt's instead of one, u get the desk with backdrop,
clothing is nicer looking (tailoring), nicer stand, more knives, pencil, shoe knife option. All this for less than enterbay's= Better Deal :wink1:

I still love and want the enterbay joker too.

Actually I think the material is poorer quality but yet a more accurate coat. I can kind of see how you would think the Enterbay coat looks too thin because in some pictures it looks like cardboard but trust me when you get it in hand I think you will agree with me that its pretty much perfect as I can't see anything wrong with it.. :wink1:

The tailoring is poorer as it still looks too bulky but I would agree with you when you say it is nicer looking, it looks more vibrant and colorful IMO.

Nah even with all that stuff it comes with it is still not a better deal because the figure is less accurate overall IMO. However, each to their own.

only 1/6, yeah. and no desire for anything outside of that.

and i like all the extra crap the dx11 comes with. i'm all for more crap for your money. the more crap the merrier and the dx11 is very merry.

: D

Yeah these images here convinced me to get the whole suit.

Actually, I don't think I've seen these. Is that the proto? Looks great.

No heaven forbid you do that. I mean I am not putting him down I am just being objective.

All those guys are incredibly talented and in a league of there own and would love to own an Adam or Beto piece but the sycophancy around here is a bit repulsive. And like I said if anyone even has a differing opinion than those who worship these guys, watch out. Same goes for Rainman. It's like a cult. It's funny, you see his followers all change their avatar and sig to whatever his new project may be be doing although you've never seen them profess any interest in it before. Now they're in love with it. :lol

I kind of agree with you because sometimes it looks amazing other times it doesn't, nevertheless, still better than anything Hot Toys has produced IMO. I think iminime's wall street killer AKA American Psycho heads look more like Bale as they have a more masculine look whereas I thought Adam's ones looked to child like IMO.

That American Psycho sculpt is awesome and may be the best Bale likeness yet. At least the regular one. The screaming one is silly and wouldn't want it. As far as the Batman Bale sculpt? I think it's one par with Adams. They both have their strengths and weaknesses.

But speaking on custom sculpts, they live and die by the paint.

i don't like adams joker sculpt. i mean it's very nice (he's an amazing sculptor), but i don't like it at all. it just looks like heath ledger wearing makeup ~ it has no life or personality to me. it doesn't look like it wants to laugh or kill you or eat a pizza. it looks like it's depressed and secretly wants to take pills and die.

brrrr.....

Any particular reason why if you do not mind me asking? The 1/4 stuff usually looks more realistic and dead on likeness on some figures. My problem with 1/4 is space and price mainly. I would really have to love the character for me to spend $500 roughly on a large action figure.

I love how you say the extra stuff is crap, I think if you like the extra stuff I would think you would use a better word to describe those items. :lol

Well, the Joker is Ledger wearing make-up. :lol

Nah, Im just ****ing with you. You're not alone in thinking that. They're plenty people who've said the same thing.

For me, it's the best around and depending on what angle he can look different.

1/6 is a good size space-wise and permits the figure to have sufficient realistic detail (over 4-6 inch figures, for example).

i have no illusions about the fact that these are toys. i like to play with them and if they come with more things, it's more to play with. but yeah, at the end of the day it's a big ol' pile of plastic crap and while i love them and would grieve if they all burnt up in a fire tonight, there are more important things i would save first.

everything in perspective.

when i watch a movie, i want to be so absorbed in the performance that i completely forget about the actor and see only the character.

it's definitely a perception thing.

And that is exactly what Ledger did with that performance ,and that's one of the reasons why I think Ledger deserved the Oscar. Now did the Academy think the same thing or was it a sympathy vote?? I don't know and really I don't care. For me, regardless of the true reasons he got it, he deserved it.

Speaking on the Adam sculpt, is this the one you were referring to?

Yep sure is.

Now your using my term :lol it is a cult. Rainman figures get sold out within minutes even characters like Pee wee herman. Which is now on ebay because the person now regrets buying it. :rotfl

I can see how you would see that about the one that everyone likes as it doesnt capture the scene. I am not really interested in something that captures the scene more like something that looks like it belongs in a museum like the MIB figures they have no personality to them at all but the likeness is dead on for Will Smith IMO. However, what about these Jokers here by Adam, they have personality right? Ignore the interrogation normal face one as that is actually Bobby Cs

collect_zpsc55a0567.jpg

Also you do realize that Hot Toys laughing sculpt is based on Adam's one along with the idea of the interrogation back ground and desk?

I always thought Kato's coat didn't look right. It didn't start with Hot Toys. But you can't say anything bad about kato, Adam or beto etc. without being ostracized.

Same thing goes for Adam's Wayne head everyone faps about. Dude, it looks ****ing weird. Deformed almost. There are a few exceptions, with a master painters touch it could look decent. I think voids looks good and in certain light it can look really good. But out in the light, yeah, it kinda does look like Bush.

Ive always thought the same thing...but always get attacked. Ive always hated Adam's BW sculpt. Its eyes are way to sunken in and it does look like a young George W Bush.

I never liked that Bobby C sculpt. I respect the dude because you can see a lot went into it and he has skill I just don't think it looks like Ledger. It looks like a monster.

I never liked Adams "Hit Me" sculpt. It looks strange. It must be a tough expression to sculpt though really. His regular sculpt in the back and the laughing are spot on though.

Who's collection is that by the way??

Now we better get back on topic before the Topic Nazi's come for our heads!

yeah. it's the neutrality of the expression that kills it for me. joker never holds a neutral expression in the film.

and i agree about ledger's performance. and that's what i want to see in my 1/6 toy.

frankly bobby c's can have the same problem for me. i do like some of the other, more expressive adam versions okay, but like you, i don't want a "scene specific" face. i just want the character ~

now, i realize how fine a line that is, and that's exactly why i think the dx11 is a complete success. it's not soooo specific that it can't be used in multiple ways, and still it retains the spark of the character. he does look like maybe he wants to laugh or kill you or eat a pizza ~ and the word for that is mercurial and bite me whoever doesn't like that word, because it totally fits ~ hahahahahaha ~

and i can't believe we're having this conversation. again.

I agree :lol what is worse is that he charged 1k for it and still is. However, here it is without paint and it looks fine here so maybe the paint is what screws it up? :dunno

Neos, but he doesn't own them all of them anymore I don't think? :dunno. I agree the hit me sculpt looks cartoony looking I was just giving an example of Adam's works that capture the scene and do not look like a wax figure.

Yep agreed I want to see more pics of Rzeznikk's MCU Xces Studios diorama! :gah:
