Hot Toys - MMS DX 11 - TDK: The Joker 2.0 Collectible Figure specs and pics

Hi,
Can someone suggest some good toy stores in Hong Kong where i can buy hot toys ? It will be my first hot toys figure if i do buy one so i am a bit confused . What do you guys suggest : DX 11 or DX 12 ? I love Batman but those eyes on dx 12 . What is the estimate price i can expect in Hong Kong?

Also you do realize that Hot Toys laughing sculpt is based on Adam's one along with the idea of the interrogation back ground and desk?

How is the Hot Toys head and desk 'based' on Adam's? Adam's is based on the movie and so is Hot Toys'. Just because someone has done it before does not make it a copy of the other one. Hot Toys did a laughing head based on the movie and Heath Ledger. Adam doesn't own Ledger's face and Hot Toys are the first official company to do it, Adam doesn't own the license and it is not a copy

do like some of the other, more expressive adam versions okay, but like you, i don't want a "scene specific" face. i just want the character ~

now, i realize how fine a line that is, and that's exactly why i think the dx11 is a complete success. it's not soooo specific that it can't be used in multiple ways, and still it retains the spark of the character

Ok scene specific was the wrong word to use. I think the right word to use is personality maybe? Whatever term that would describe the character's actions, which make him the character.

Ask intothevoid. The whole set up with diorama and laughing head sculpt with Kato clothes is just too coincidental IMO.

The DX12 is an excellent figure, but the DX11 set is also good. If you hate the eyes that much on the DX12 just get the MMS71 head. The cowl is off and so is the mouth piece but at least it doesn't look like a frog.

I am not saying Adam did the Dio, I don't know who did it but that was the whole set up with the laughing Joker with the dio. Do you really think that idea is just a coincidence?. Do you want pictures of the dio set up?




Kato owns Adam's sculpts and Kato used his sculpt to display his WIP Joker suit.

Since you're obviously not going to leave it. The dio was made by a separate customizer, the head was made by a separate customizer, the clothes were made by a separate customizer. No coincidence. Just because Kato owns an Adam head does not mean Hot Toys stole Adam's idea. The WIP suit photos was not of the laughing head either.

The Joker laughs in the interrogation scene, therefore the laughing head goes with the interrogation dio, that's the end of it.

You don't need to compare the customs with the DX11.

I think we should just leave it at that

I never liked that Bobby C sculpt. I respect the dude because you can see a lot went into it and he has skill I just don't think it looks like Ledger. It looks like a monster.

I never liked Adams "Hit Me" sculpt. It looks strange. It must be a tough expression to sculpt though really. His regular sculpt in the back and the laughing are spot on though.

Who's collection is that by the way??

I think he means the one with make up that is caked on. I have always thought your one Neo was the best one by Bobby C as it doesn't look like a monster like the rest of the ones do IMO. Rory's proto doesn't either.

It still looks good in the pics especially how the face does not look skinny and thin and I also love it how you can see his eyes! My favorite look is the mob scene make up.
