Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE Full Specs &
Nice mods!
Nice mods!
No problem. It likely took you quite a bit of time, coin and effort to get your DX12 to look like that, but it was well worth it.
Finally had some free time and modified and changed the body on my DX12. IMO the body HT used was too scrawny and short. So I swapped it out for a Muscular ZC Toys body. Here's the results. Hope y'all like it.
Thanks, man! Yeah, it was daunting in the beginning when you realize you're about
to cut open/apart an expensive figure. But, the more you do it, the less
apprehensive you get. Luckily, it's usually worked out.
It takes courage and a steady hand.
How were you able to switch bodies? And which version is better suit wise, dx12 or armory?

Thanks for the pic, that looks excellent. That's not a stock mouthplate, is it?
Nope. It's the one that comes with Choi Ben's Custom cowl.
I had to unglued the back of the shoulder pads and once that was removed I cut along the sewed areas on the back. Left and right. I then smoothly pulled down the suit making sure to not over stress the thigh area. You don't want to stretch the padding of the armor. Also the thighs are glued in place of the stock body.
Oh and both are DX12 figured boardie.
You can't really tell from then pic but the Muscular body is taller and will give the suit a V shape once you fix it to your liking.
Would you take commissions on doing this? Lol
That mod looks great. So much better then the original. I would be too afraid to cut the suit though
If your not bothered about modding your figures, with a bit of work you can take out the piece that moves both eyes simultaneously so that eye is movable on it's own, much like the 1/4 version. Mine was the same and i did that along with painting the eyelids.
