Wish I knew where to find a 1/6th accurate looking cloth jumpsuit to customize my DX to be as flexible as this new one.

Can someone confirm/unconfirm wether or not a bruce lee HT jumpsuit would work for customizing Batman?

Couldn't you just sell your Current Batman and use the money to get this one?

Honestly, the sonar head/backpack might've made a good EX.

Hopefully NOT including those things is HT's way of NOT saying, "Yeah, just don't buy anything from us until we've gotten to at least the 5th version of it."

Because honestly - if they really wanted to give a big FU to the collectors, they would give us a version with both batsuits, the pneumatic mangler, the sonar head/backpack, the sticky bomb gun, the EMP gun, another batsuit with no emblem and the rappelling harnesses w/balaclava. Then they could top that one with all of the above and a ninja training suit. Then they could top that one with head sculpts of CB in every stage of the movies. Then HT would make 3 rereleases of each of those and by then I hope I'll have quit the hobby.

It depends on how screen accurate you want to be. It's blue.

Thats what I did.

I sold my DX02 the second that they showed a pic of him in the suit for TDKR.

Nice, I missed out on the DX02 and was really tempted to buy one for £400 but then I found out that
a) DX02 is a rubber suit that's impossible to pose
b) DX12 is coming out

Almost screwed myself over there

So Im incredibly torn right now...
I used to collect figures but stopped after I got a couple super quality figures such as Obi-wan from EP 3 and Batman from TDK(MMS version) i guess is what everyone's calling it...which after comparing that one to the DX02, its not close to par and it bugs me haha. I just want the best! thats it..(too much to ask?)
After seeing the movie and curious as what HT is banging out these days im incredibly tempted to fork up the money for this, even with a future ultimate question asked to my girlfriend...
After reading most of this thread, and seeing all the complaints about the prototype, i feel that maybe i should wait a couple months until they release a revised version prototype.
Is it a good idea to wait? or are there chances that this will sell out before it releases?( im not sure how the system works with HQ collectibles) I just want to make a smart decision on something that i know will be dumb to most people i know...but hey i cant help it.
Also what are the chances that they will change these little things ex(cowl sculpt, minor suit characteristics, mouth plates, eyes, so on..) before the release date?

I'd sell the TDK(Batman) figure you have now, and use that cash to help pay for it. It should make a huge dent in the DX 12's cost.

Possibly. I really don't think we'll see a "battle damaged" version or anything. Maybe they'll actually do a Bruce Wayne figure though.

Now a Bruce Wayne figure, I could agree with that. But if they do some awesome re-release of the suit again, but with a body and suit for Bruce Wayne and the cane and all the nonsense, then I will lose complete faith in hot toys and begin an international boycott. Lol

I thought, before seeing the film, that his suit, not just his cowl gets messed up in the sewer fight with Bane. When in reality it's just his cowl that gets smashed. So a BD figure seems unlikely to me? If there is damage to his suit I never noticed it.

One way of looking at that scene is, man Batman can fight, I know he gets beaten by Bane but if it was anyone else Bats would have kicked their ass!

the only problem with is that i feel i wont get much out of it. I took it apart and fixed some things with the suit that i felt were flaws done during the construction of it. so i feel its nearly worth as much because its been tampered with. Which im not pissed about since i figured id keep it when i first bought it.


Also where do most collectors go to buy? there must be a common reliable place to order from.

I use alter-ego comics they are very reliable, extremely nice, and they accept paypal. All my boxes have come in mint condition from them as well. They do a great job.

So about to pull the trigger on selling my dx02 so I can afford this bad boy. I'm an articulation junkie, so the fact that the dx12 will have a fabric suit and be able to hold action poses was the difference maker (in all honesty, the rubber suit on the dx02 really constricts any posing).
Question: will the rubber overlay pieces limit severely the movement on the dx12? What do people think???
