WOW! I had this figure on order ($40. deposit),but the store was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy(he's not going to rebuild).Not sure what to do now, suddenly this figure does'nt seem too important.I'm not rich but, I just might tell the guy to keep the deposit.

It's not a bad figure per se, and it looks ok on the shelf, BUT...

....given the inaccuracies, the price point, and the history of HT delivering photo-realistic figures which drives collectors to heightened expectations, yes, it's a disappointing final product.

Yeah, that pretty much sums up my feelings about it as well.

I also want to try and stuff some cotton or something in the elbow area (under the mesh) to fill it out, cause when the elbows are bent, the elbows look to skinny and very noticeable. Hoping for a more natural look.

That could be a good idea. His arms are definitely too thin.

sanding off the back of those mouth plates did a a number on making them look better. Even the smirking mouth looks better. Iffy on the necessity of the rayon cape but it does look good

Yep. Very pleased with the face plate sanding results. Believe it or not, even the toothy one looks decent now.

As to the cape: I agree, not a necessity. But man is it nice to have it just fall where it looks natural without having to really futz at all.

Nice pics Mags. As long as the head is tilted down.
But as soon as you can see those eyes!

Cape looks good.

I sense some the reality of the figure seeping into your posts? It is pretty disappointing isn't it?
I mean there are some terrific aspects to it. but....

If you wanna put the BW sculpt on the DX02:

1. Sand down a standard True Type neck adapter to be the circumference of the one that comes with the DX12
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. Stick it on the BW sculpt.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Slip on the neck sleeve (if you don't first sand down the adapter this will not be possible). As you can see, you can slide it up higher than the proto pics show.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Stick it on the DX02
   
   
   

Final product with DX12 belt:

Be advised that if you want the neck sleeve to fit this high, the head has to be bent forward. With his chin up you can see his neck at the bottom, which would require a lower neck sleeve placement.

Yeah seeing that BW head on the DX02 makes me really wish I could find a cheap DX02 body to display him like that with the backpack and sticky gun. One day...

I bought the velvet cape for when this guy comes in. I will have to see how it looks on him but that rayon cape looks fantastic. I may sell the velvet and get a rayon lol we'll see

I just cancelled my order at BBTS. Just not feeling it. Would love to have a Nolan Batman to pose next to my DX11 on the way, but there nothing that has me excited for this figure. I guess my DX11 will just have to chill all alone.

Soooooo many mods for what has been hailed as a highly improved figure If it's so good, why the need for all the mods?!?! Still no real dynamic poses posted...ok, one by Mags with one arm down & one arm up Nothing out of the realm of my DX 02.

This thing needs gauntlet mods, hand mods, face plate mods, cape mods, ankle mods, eye mods, thigh mods (some think) and neck mods...

How can this be considered anything more than moderately better than the 02?!?!?

This is not a giant step forward...it's the DX 4s...
