The boots are from the Mark II AU set though, even though they are the same pair that was given in the mech test set.

Wellllll - maybe? That is to say, 27 cm is plenty deep to accommodate the base of the gantry, but you have to take that back "helmet-mounting" arm into account. It's adjustable, so I'm thinking if you adjust it pretty much as straight up as you can and angle the "claw" down toward Tony's head, it'll look just fine and leave you enough room.

I assume that the defect will arise on the gantry mark iV in some time.
