Enjoying the irony of everyone chomping at the bit to get a figure from the Star Wars movie they love to hate.

Guess TLJ really did grab that baton in the hate relay, eh?

Curious to see how full this release is (gear, portraits) or if a helmeted version with the standard weapons, backpacks and oversized stand is all we'll get....

With recent Hot Toys marketing developments, we might see them release a basic version first and go for a Dx with alternate accessories and a T. Morrison headsculpt later on.

Something The Last Jedi has made me realize is that while I still dislike the Prequel Trilogy for many reasons it tells a good story. A poorly executed set of films, but a good story nonetheless. Whereas with the Sequel Trilogy there’s really not a good overarching story in place. The sequels have almost the polar opposite problem of the prequels. The sequels look great and have good acting as opposed to the over abundance of CG and stiff/poor acting in the prequels.

You don't even have to go this deep. Jango's just a bad ass design and has always had a good number of fans, regardless of how you feel like about the prequels/AOTC.

Plus, a majority of people were disappointed by Sideshow's version so this one has a lot of folks already ready to double dip. Once they say how disappointed they are of the price once that info's released, of course

I get what you were saying. Our replies where pretty much two reasons on the same side to the blanket statement that Jedibear said. That’s all.

I love the design of so much of the stuff in the Prequels, that’s why I want them, that and the fact that I have my own head canon that I’ve come to really love.

In my story the Clone Wars is a nickname given to two wars fought by the same 2 worlds, over the same issues, with only a brief ceasefire, so they got the name the Clone Wars, since they are essentially identical.

The two planets at war are the two most powerful houses in the Republic. The conservative figureheads, which are the Mandalorians, (they are the ones that wear the “Clone Trooper Armor” in my version) and the Liberal figureheads, which is Alderan. Alderan wants to minimize the loss of life so they utilize a Droid army, so the cutesy Droid army makes sense. After the war Alderan abandons all of their weapons. Palpatine sets both worlds against each other so there’s less less in his way as he climbs to power “chaos is a ladder.”

Anyway in my story Jango is the highest ranking military officer in the Mandalorian Empire, which makes him the captain of the royal imperial guard, and because of that he has the Emperors ear. Boba is the Grand Moff of the Ghost Army of the Empire, and his army wears all white armor. Boba is the youngest Mandalorian to command one of the great armies of the Empire, Jango was the youngest before Boba.

Obi-wan and Anakin fight for Alderan, along with Owen and Beru who are communications officers on the command ship that Anakin and General Kenobi are on.

There’s A LOT more to the story, but I don’t want to bore any of you. I just need Jango as he’s a main character in my crazy head canon. [emoji2957]

I think most interested people are waiting for him to go up for PO as there is not much to say about it right now. With the gorgeous Morrison head sculpt revealed with Cody, it's now just a matter of time until we get a Jango reveal.

But I think it’s true though. This thread has been incredibly quiet all things considered.
Maybe it’s because the upgrade from the SSC version isn’t that significant so people don’t long for it as much? ...but no matter what, the Cody sculpt really shows that there is something good coming. I didn’t know if I would upgrade, but with that sculpt I think I’ll have to.

Are we guessing this might be the next release? Probably this or the Airborne Trooper. I think we can kiss bye bye to those Solo figures shown at SDCC 2018. Let’s say we get 4 pre-orders up before SDCC 2019 (March, April, May and June), then I’ll take a wild guess at Airborne Trooper, Jango, OT C-3PO and Padme. Then some SDCC reveals, based off teases, like ESB Han, ESB Lando, Qui-Gon, Battle Droid and AOTC Anakin (not teased). It must be about time for some more OT troopers (ie Scout Trooper, TIE Fighter Pilot, Rebel Fleet Trooper).

Yeah, that was an amazing design. I can’t believe they released the Patrol Trooper over it. That’s why I avoided pre-ordering the Solo figures. It just seems such a limited mish mash of releases.
