Nice! Glad that worked out.

You replied to neb saying by their logic they would never want a stormtrooper if they don't want phasma, but they are completely different. Stormtroopers are iconic and perfectly represent the empire/FO. However phasma is underused and underdeveloped as a character so of course you could want one and not the other.

Take off the the rose tinted glasses. Stormtroopers are basically cannon fodder . They just look cool but get their ***** kicked in every combat they are in. You buy white colored stormtroopers but draw the line at buying a chrome stormtrooper that has more lines screentime. As far as iconic Phasma will be iconic eventually just like Fett and other figures who had a few seconds of screentime in the original trilogy.

I just watched A new hope and the"battle" between Vader and Obi Wan was really mediocre! They just stood there just doing some slow thrusting with their light sabers in a very underwhelming fight. Compare the Maul fight at the end of TPM with that. Amazing the rose tinted glasses wearers overlook the faults of the original trilogy while bashing the new movies for any perceived faults.

I never bashed you for preferring your chrome trooper and newer films, you'd just be in the minority for wanting her in a star wars display over the normal troopers.
Happy holidays and peace and goodwill to all :)

Emailed several times. One response a month ago with “as per our T&C it can takes weeks to get out”.

But 3 months?

I just noticed your post since I was trying to avoid spoilers, so you won a figure and Sideshow hasn't contacted you in 3 weeks?

Not unheard of, I won Jason and Freddy figures in 2005 and they didn't contact me either, I contacted them 6 weeks later to find out they had gave away one of my prizes to someone else. They offered to replace it with something else, and I got a long sold out figure I really wanted instead. They will come through eventually. I guess they get busy with other things and it found it's way to the bottom of the pile, they're only human and mistakes happen. Glad to hear it worked out for you in the end, congrats!

They forgot to send out a prize for me as well, they ended up sending me something different when they realized they forgot and they were already sold out of what I originally won :lol

3 months. But it’s the Premium, and I was under the impression it was the 1/6 scale.

So win :)

Ah, I read weeks, probably because I was trying to remember how many weeks they forgot about me. Yeah I'd be annoyed, it makes you feel like they really hope you forget about it too. I was really tempted in asking for something more expensive then what I had won, decided in the end that I should ask for something I wanted that wasn't available even on Ebay at the time.

Good to hear Sideshow hasn't changed after all these years, that's consistency! :lol

Amazing what difference a few decades of evolving film and cinematrography and an actual budget can do. Everybody knows a lot of the action sequences in older films are hokey as ****. Thats how it was back then. Everything is fast and colofrul and fluid now and thats fine. A New Hope gets special treatment because its the OG star wars movie. Nobody had done what a new hope did before a new hope. Most of us wouldnt be in this forum (including all tireless episode 8 dramaqueens and prequel trilogy apologists) wouldnt be here if it wasnt for that old, shoe string budgeted, hokey *** movie that was Star Wars (episode 4). Most of us werent even around to be blown away by that movie in theaters, so have some damn respect. That **** is legendary and will transcend for many more decades.

This guy gets it.

Can somebody post a picture of the helmet from side on? I think I have a dud helmet. The top mouth piece protrudes way too far out I feel.

Phasma has arrived. No shots yet, just some first impressions.

Big and tall. More than I expected, but Christie is a big gal so it makes sense. Barely moved a leg and a knee cap popped off. She's first issue FO trooper so, no action poses here...just like the troopers, little to no articulation.

And what is it about hot toys and capes? It's horrible. Gonna have to search the board for futzing tips.

My general impression here is, once fuzzed and a good pose is found, she'll make a good display companion for Ren.

Pics soon...

Nice, jedibear. I’m about to order her too. I have just the spot & a sand topper for the stand calling her name..

My point is the original trilogy had lots of problems and some people chose to ignore them. Those people will quickly become the minority as they get older and die off while millions of new fans emerge. That means all of these movies will eventually be judged as they are without the the middle aged rose tinted glasses wearers who saw the movies as kids in the 1970s. The later movies will get the credit they deserve and the problems the older ones have will not be overlooked. Basically the newer movies will age better because for the most part they are better put together films with the proper epic scale on display. No crappy attack on the death star where only 3 or 4 ships are visible on screen at a time like ANH.
