I'm not sure why some of you believe that Hot Toys would go through the trouble of creating an all new mold for a permanently lit lightsaber, when they could simply re use the one they already have.:slap

None of the figures that come with lightsabers have permanently attached blades.

Bespin Luke is relatively ancient though. And I've read that the sculpt on that one is different. What I should have said was that none of their recent figures have permanently attached blades. Why start now?

TGG has a point though. Is there any recent SW figure (OT and TFA) that comes with a saber where the blade is permanently affixed? I can't think of any off the top of my head. It makes sense that they would more likely reuse/repaint one of these as opposed to creating an entirely new saber with a permanently affixed blade.

Qui-Gon does say, "Had he been born in the Republic we would have identified him early."

But wouldn't slaves be checked? I mean, they're an investment and Watto would make a lot of money if he could identify "the chosen one". Any slave-owner would be checking for 'valuables' if all it takes is a blood test.

Imagine if we has a "Jesus Christ" test...

Throw-away Lucas lines do not make up for logic.

See I dont like that anyone can do it. It makes the jedi seem much less special. Id prefer it to be people who were born with a sensitivity towards it and can use it in ways impossible for normal/average people.

I think they are born with it though and not everyone can do it no matter how bad they wanted to, and its because the movies made it very clear that some young children have the ability. They dont even like to train them when they are past childhood. So Im fine with how George established it, and thats set in stone because its in the prequels. Its an aspect of the prequels im totally fine with. Midichlorians never bothered me. Bad scripts did, but not some of the details about how the force works. I thought it was pretty cool actually since Im into science and all that.

It also plays into the idea that some individuals were sort of touched by a higher power when they were developing, making them unique for better or worse. This is why I dont think Finn is a force user, never will be, but Rey probably knew her whole life, has had various abilities, but never used them, or at least never made them clear to anyone around her. This explains why she is able to pick things up so quickly in TFA, because she kind of already knew how to do this stuff already. Maz says to her, "its always been there". She was even able to sense something about BB8 that kept her from selling him, and I think that was intuition from the force.

I also kinda like Midichlorians, I thought it was an interesting twist on the Force. I still don't understand why some despise it so strongly. There's plenty of other things that are far worse in the Prequels, Anakin and Padme's romance tops my list.

Wow the blu Ray on this will make headlines.

They did a fantastic job on the digital release. :clap

I personally had no issue with Midichlorians either. If I had anything to complain about the PT, Midichlorians wouldn't be at the top of the list. However, Anakin and Padme's forced romance scenes though...

George Lucas thought he had lots of time to tell the story of Vader in three prequel movies. As AOTC ended he realized he told nothing and was forced to pack and resolve it all in ROTS. This is proven by the meeting Yoda, Obi Wan and Bail had in the Republic ship and death of Padme/Birth of VaderIn a matter of under five minutes screen time we get:

How Obi Wan becomes a spirit in OT
How Princess Leia & Luke are born
How their mother dies (Broken Heart)
How Princess Leia & Luke were separated
How Luke live with his Uncle & Aunt
Where Organa comes from “We always wanted a daughter” - Have *** buddy!!
Why Yoda live on Dagoba (spelling)

How Vader gets his suit. Which I still don’t buy. The suit should have been foreshadowed. As it stands it comes off as a emergency “burn patient” suit. So I would imagine many would be wearing the same suit throughout the galaxy or in the burnt patient ward!!

All the stuff we wanted to know in the PT was answered in five minutes……..sad really!!

I read somewhere that Lucas said that Palpatine realised Anakin/Vader was going to die and he used the powers of Darth Plagueis to drain her life energy and that's what kept Vader alive. That "she has lost the will to live" line is cringe worthy, lol.

So much better!!

I like this theory much better than what they actually left us with at the end of RoTS. Makes more sense to give that medical droid a reason to say "We don't know why" after Obi-Wan said "She's dying."

I've been directing my impatience for the release of Rey and BB8 into gathering/customising some extra props that Rey interacts with in the movie. Anyone know where I can find some 1/6 scale self-inflating bread?
