Agreed. He was okay, but just an Artoo clone because they chose to have Artoo deactivated the entire movie. I have no desire to have him on the shelf so I'm just getting the solo Rey.

I loved BB-8 as a character in VII so I'm happy to be getting him. I can see where some wouldn't want him so it's good Rey is available as a stand alone.

I agree. I loved BB-8 as well. He was a very unique character and I'm glad he is an add on option. I also could have seen HT adding BB-8 to the Poe Dameron figure if and when they release one.

Same here regarding BB-8.

I'm getting both the set and a solo Rey figure to acheive two different looks, but I think BB-8 will be a nifty addition to TFA collection. While C-3P0 and R2 are the primary droids that represent the OT, BB-8 will be the droid that represents the NT.

Loved BB8 too. I didn't think they could make such a charming non-speaking character with barely any kind of articulation to express feelings, but they did.

Think of the talent it took the puppeteer to get expressions essentially just from the way the head moved. I think it was a great combination from the puppeteer, the writer and the camerawork to sell the way BB emoted. And of course the brilliant thumbs up!

So yeah, I'm more than happy to get BB8 to represent Ep 7. I'm basically only getting this Rey/BB8 set and Old Han from this movie. I might consider Chewie and maybe an imperial (undecided as to who) too.
