JC Hong posted a video of BB8 and called it "mass production test". Does this mean it's coming really soon?

I hope the "head" doesn't hang over the side like that to actually work. Seems like a useless 'ability'... I think I would have preferred seldom-used lights to never-rolled 'rolling' ability.

Am I the only one who didn't want BB-8? I mean the droid was good in the movie, but I just didn't need it in my collection. For Episode VIII I bet they package her with R2.

I dont know , maybe I need to watch the movie again but this BB8 looks sort of weak to me. Almost a very soft paintwork to it. I get the impression " plastic toy " and not " metal droid". Admittedly it is plastic but it shouldn't look it. Maybe they will do a diecast version the next go around that has a sharper look to it.....

It almost looks to me like the video is turned on its side. Look at how the shadows all fall; it looks like shadows are all on the "top" of the video as presented.

Yep, the video should be rotated 90 degrees.

I agree, looks like the video is sideways. Looks a lot better when you flip if the proper side up.

Seems like it works decent enough. I won't be rolling him around though since I am sure something would break lol.

I can't wait for the combo set to release. Still have a few more payments left on the flex plan though. I kinda wish Ray had the LED lightsaber like Kylo does. Finn will have it but not Ray. I don't really understand that decision by HT.
