Hot Toys - MMS - Star Wars Episode VII: Rey 1/6th Collectible Figure

Like many other female figures from Hot Toys, Rey suffer (IMO)from an overly narrow neck. Especially where the neck meets the head. To reduce the bobble head effect I decided to go with the scavenger look. Well, at least halfways. I didn't want to cover up her hair. I think this look suits her quite well.

Unfortunately I just sold her yesterday. I had this constant battle trying to convince myself I loved this figure. And the more I tried I just realized it didn't resonate and spark my passion for this hobby. I don't know if others have felt that way at one point or another. I actually really wanted the Resistance Outfit but I got impatient and got the Scavenger one instead lol. Overall its a great figure to have the accessories, outfit and paint work are top notch. But I love my figures to have a great likeness to the person they are portraying and couldn't get over this head sculpt. It's a fine likeness to the character Rey but I don't feel like its quintessential hands down Daisy Ridley if that makes any sense at all. And the scale issue really bugged me. When I put Rey next to my Black Widow figure I feel like she shouldn't be 1/4 in shorter than her. Anyways, I would still like a Rey I guess I'll just have to wait and see if the Episode 8 version fixes the issues I had with it.

I hear ya! I'm not overly fond of the head sculpt either. The paint job is top notch, but the likeness to Daisy Ridley isn't really there. The outfit is superb though and she has great presence on the shelf. BB-8 is great as well.

Hopefully better sculpts will come in the future.

Yes will remain hopeful! Yours looks great btw as I definitely agree she does have a great amount of shelf presence especially with BB-8. I only had the single version so that didn't help either I guess lol

Mine arrived last week and I am pretty happy with her. Not much movement in ankle/boot and surprised to not find a relaxed left hand. But she, Finn and BB8 are looking neat on my shelf right now.

Wouldn't say the sculpt is spot on, but I see enough of DR in it.
