One thing that I liked about TFA, especially the ending is that Rey is still unknown. I like that she went to Luke by herself. Yes I know Chewy is with her. But the subtext that Leia could've had one of the commanders company Rey or Leia could've went herself. But I think they trust Rey even though they don't know her fully.
What I'm getting is for the beginning of Rey's character there is so much depth. Sure ANH Han, Luke, Leia didn't know each other at first either but by the end of the film it was apparent they became a tight group of friends in such a short time.
I like how Rey seems like an outsider and a lone wolf, but she's fine with that. That's what I like that Abrams wanted the audience to experience.
She isn't Luke. Even Luke himself is thinking " Who are you? "
