Is there any images of BB-8 lit up yet? I want to know what exactly is going to be lit.

SSC used UPS to ship my Marty McFly as they ran out of stock. The UPS guy asked for the cash but I didn't have it so he took me down to his van with my bank card and I paid it direct to their office. Wasn't bothered and saved myself around £25+
I might ask SSC to switch to UPS too.

It's BB-8 I am interested in, how he's going to light up and how this self balancing mechanisms work!

I thought I read BB-8 will have some type of magnet.

Hopefully the light switch will be less annoying to access than say their recent Thanos/Vader or even the other light saber figures.

They might go for a touch panel like the SS R2D2 perhaps.

I'm interested also in seeing how they choose to balance BB-8.

Need to get my pre-order in soon, but waiting for bloody SS to ship Vader so I can see if the switch to UPS makes any difference to the customs charges.

Yeah the lights aren't practical at all. I turn them on once and I'm like yeah this would be awesome if it was on all the time. But you can't do that. Vader was $100 more for electronic ******** that you maybe use once.

I ordered Vader simply as I do not have one, but hot toys made him way too gimmicky!

I have him and I think he's amazing. Inaccuracies and all. But I do think he was too expensive because of those gimmicks.

Totally agree.

If the light/sound feature were more practical, I could see myself turning them on quite often. I enjoy the Dark Knight Armory and it can be easily lit up with a touch of a button (the remote).

But as is, almost all the Hot Toys Star Wars figures are totally impractical and most of us fear the dreaded battery leakage issue.
