Haven't pulled the trigger on the ep. VII troopers/snow troopers 2 packs because I have so many things on PO and the wallet is begging for mercy.

But I don't want to miss out on this piece. Looks great. PO'd.

Ordered, hopefully the $ will recover somewhat before release or else the price will be close to double the listed for me :( either way this ones a keeper now we need the ROTS open face design pilot to complete the evolution

While I really, really liked the First Order Stormtrooper and Showtrooper, I absolutely LOVE this TIE Pilot design. I may even build a 1:1 suit of this guy, that's how much I love it.

Thank goodness I am limiting my SW collection to strictly Jedi's and Sith's.

Hot Toys is rolling these out so fast that I had decided not to even bother with TFA figures... then I saw this in the announcement... oh man I want it! If I buy this figure though, I'll need all of the TFA figs. I miss the 10 for $1000 days. Now it's 4.5 for $1000... not sure I'm going to be able to justify it but the temptation on this one has me considering it again.

My favorite progression of a troop so far, love the chest boxes and the OT feel they portray while streamlining other aspects. Beast of a design.

Like most everyone here, I love this design and, unlike the FO Stormtrooper (which I still really like) I do think this is more akin to the look and feel of the OT counterpart. As much as I like it though, and the other troopers, I will forever miss the "teeth" for the mouth vent.

Wicked design. But movie has to good to place an order.

The first First Order uniform that isn't ruined by a silly looking helmet. And the first I might order, to accompany Sideshow's TIE Pilot.

The lack of Major Matt Mason rubber joints is a big bonus.

It would be a shame if the rumour that all the First Order troops are
clones of Jar Jar Binks
is true.

:monkey3

Good god, man, you've dated yourself. I cannot un-make this connection now. :lol

:lol

I had a secondhand one as a kid!

The original First Order Trooper:

What I like about the look of this TIE Pilot is that its design goes beyond Star Wars itself.

He could do double duty policing a futuristic dystopian society:

Of the new designs shown so far, he best represents the legacy of imperial order.

As opposed to the others (duck and squinty) who better represent the comedy wing of the new order.

Leaving home for SB now, cant wait to see
the prototype in person. Especially what the
body suit was made of. Those fibre looks
really good in photos. Will take some
pictures and post them here tonight.

Really looking forward to your photos. I just can't stop looking at the pictures of this.

Ive asked the SB staff and they said dont
know yet cause its just a prototype. From
my experience that would meant the thing
on top of the helmet is not movable.
