If this line happens, which all indications suggest that it will, Magneto will happen. He is one of the two main characters, a character with a following in any media, played by a star on the rise.

I'd go so far as to say that Magneto isn't just one of the two main characters, he really is THE main character. The whole film, from first to last scene, is the story of Magneto's rise(fall?), framed in the context of the formation of the X-Men. There are all kinds of other story arcs, character development, themes of tolerance and enlightenment vs. prejudice and the basest human fears, and a ton of action and swanky Bond-ian goodness, but Magneto's tale is truly central to the whole movie.

To not have Magneto (along with the Xavier "yang" to his dire "yin") as figures would be folly for HT...

But this is HT. They gave us a Watchmen line that consisted of Silk Spectre II and the Comedian No Rorschach. And the two characters they made had 1 tiny scene together was all So I could easily see them screwing this up too. Hope not, but am expecting it. And then again, with Wolverine we only got Wolverine, no Sabertooth, who seemed obvious at the time.

That's pretty much my thought on it. We might get Magneto or Prof X and then someone unexpected, like Frost or Azazel. Then they'd go back to the other of the two they didn't make.

I'm glad DiD made a Fassbender head sculpt, now I have a back up plan in case Hot Toys goes south with this line. It's just putting together and outfit and sculpting a helmet..

LOL at all the January Jones as Emma Frost hate. I know her portrayal left a bit to be desired, but I don't think her casting was solely based on her acting ability. Do you think GUYS like John Byrne and Jim Lee drew her the way they did because it would make for a more compelling story?

Uhh no. And all those fellas who are acting like they'd kick her out of bed if given the opportunity... well, rest assured I believe in equal rights for you and you SHOULD be able to get married!

To be fair, Alice Eve did turn down the role first, to all of our detriment.

Rumor is Alice Eve was never originally cast, just in final negotiations. So i'm not too sure she actually turned down the role, just didn't get it at the end.

I hope it's okay to double post.. but I found this interesting.

I picked up the head and body of this new DiD German Infantry Soldier to use a base for my Baron "Helmut" Zemo custom (I wanted a non-scarred unmasked head), and I realized it resembles Michael Fassbender quite a bit.

What do you guys think? I might end up using it as a stand in for Magneto while I'm working on my Zemo figure. Just get some cool 60s clothes and done. Though I plan on picking up a Hot Toys body for him eventually, the DiD was only $10 extra so I figure I might as well have something work off of.

It's a pretty decent likeness I think. If no one made an official figure of him I'd say that's a good head to use

No worries, I just figured no one cared, lol. Yeah, the likeness isn't perfect, I didn't notice it at first, but yeah I think if Hot Toys doesn't do a Magneto it will become the go to choice. I might just sit on it for awhile and see what Hot Toys ends up doing in case I want it for Magneto.

I see enough of it that it works for me in case we don't get Magneto. It's not a perfect likeness, but I don't see how you can't see Fassbender in it. The eyes, eyebrows, and mouth are totally Fassbender. The nose is very similar, but a bit bigger, and the face is a bit wider as well I think. I think a skilled sculptor could alter a few spots and it would be spot on.

They said it's September for this license - no one gonna see anything "Prometheus" related at the Con. We can expect XFC figs at the Con for sure. Mb even full announcement. You need to thx HT for this "Prometheus" update since both starring Michael Fassbender and so chances to get Magneto are even higher dan b4

gotta rewatch this as i'm having a hard time remembering what the characters looked like, i prefer the adult versions of the characters but i do like the Magneto from this film and wouldn't mind a figure of him.

Hope so, it's been more than a year with zero figures, their waits from announcement to figures (other than Avengers/Batman) is ridiculous
