I'd say Nomak and Reinhardt...seeing as they have in a way sculpted Ron Perlman before.

I hope you're both right, but I'd like Whistler as well.

And no news on Blade 1 yet, but I'm sure they won't say anything about a new license till everything is approved.

The licences I'm really dying to see news from are the Spider-Man and X-Men franchises. HT are probably working on both right now.

I can't see them getting both the Blade 1 and 2 license, now that I think about it. Blade isn't big enough for them to do 2 movies... with all the other Marvel licences on the way.

So, sticking with Blade 2, i DEFINITELY want a Reinhardt, but more for selfish reasons than any other! But Whistler would make the most sense if they only do 1 one figure from the franchise.

A life scan and not a sculpt, I know. But still, this new figure does not look like Wesley.

Yes I know the hot toys head has more detail and better paint, but that isn't the point.

More so than HT's at this point.
The geometry of the Toybiz sculpt is superior but nothing else is and thats what gives it the edge. Id love to see a repaint of it.

Yes. Seeing as how it was a laser scan of Snipe's head. It does lack fine detail, but that is because it's a much cheaper and older figure then the hot toys one. Sorry that was the best pic I could find of it. There are customs using that head in this very thread and all of them look more like Wesley then the hot toys head.

There wasn't this much fuss made about Marcus Wright's sculpt and that was revised to near perfection.

Laser scans aren't often perfect. It's like mo-cap. You get the broad strokes right but not the details. That said the Marvel Studios head does get the broad strokes done better (such as ratio of facial features and shape of the head) but a lot of the finer details wrong (the shape of the eyes is all wrong imo for example).

Hot Toys I don't think it spot on either and is closer in certain aspects but overall because the cursory details are closer to correct the Marvel Studios head looks more like Snipes.

Seems like the Blade head sculpt is catching more heat than Wolverine. That's the sculpt they need to revise.

While that sculpt may be more accurate than Hot Toys, I still like the Hot Toys one more. It was much more detail in the sculpt. The hair is better detailed, the skin has more texture, and you can't forget the tats!

Oh, no doubt. I just posted that pic to show what a sculpt that actually looks like Wesley should look like. I would like Hot toys to tweak theirs.

I was in no way comparing the actually quality of the sculpts, just the likeness'.

It could use some fixing up but I'll still be buying this even if they don't bother. I'm pretty sure they'll be another figure from hot toys of blade anyway. I'll probably buy the headsculpt from the second figure if its better and a few other bits form it.

would it not make sense then to use laser scanning as a base then...to get the geometry and broad strokes correct, and then go from there with the details, corrections, skin texturing etc...?

perhaps they can't justify to actually fly snipes out there or something...

The HT Blade face is dead on. Totally Wesley Snipes. The hairline is off, but that's it. Toybiz head has nothing on the HT sculpt. One is a head scan, and the other isn't. The one that isn't is more accurate in the face, with better details, skin textures, and overall is just beautiful!

I am happy to see it being made. I would take it on even if the hair isn't corrected. You people are too spoiled. Knowing HT they are good listeners and will make you all happy. I see a revised sculpt, but I am happy with it as is.

And Blade is a favorite of mine. Now bring on the PF!

Nahh we aren't spoiled....probably has something to do with you having lower standards
