Man, I wish this thread would get deleted...

It just makes me so sad that I don't have this figure and when this thread gets bumped I lose a little bit more of my soul each time. :(

Just got ripped off by a seller on eBay. Luckily, I should be protected through PayPal, but I will have not have Blade. I was pretty excited, but the price was too good to be true.

i just bought one from a hong kong seller with good feedback, now you got me worried :thud:

what auction was it?? i have been scouring ebay for a good deal didnt come up with anything less than 400$.

Mine was from a new ebay user in California. I felt uneasy, but the price was good. It was 235. I should have known better, but I knew I was protected through PayPal and my credit card. The guy is trying to pull a delivery confirmation scam. He finally sent me a tracking number today that said the package was delivered on the 22nd, after it was undeliverable on the 21st. I picked up the mail on the 22nd right as the mail truck passed, and there was no package. In addition, the tracking info shows that package passed only through my city when the seller is on the other side of the country. The thing that upsets me the most is that I now have to jump through hoops to get my money back, and I know there was another good Blade deal that I could have bid on during the time period I was waiting.

As much as I hate not having him, I would never pay the price he is going for now...

I just can't rationalize a price like that for an action figure... so, yeah. :(
I can relate to that. I only got him because he was priced lower than I was used to seeing (even if he was used).

Is that Blade's Papa? :monkey3

typically speaking, ebay is no different than the commerce section for rare/older figures...

ebay is typically higher for newer figures than the commerce section

That's what we call a Hail Mary.

$400 is more realistic. You can probably get one for that or a little less if you check the Commerce section regularly.
I was going to sell mine to a friend for $270 and wondered if that was a good price for him. Didn't know if $400 was the recent going price? I didn't want to rip him off or undersell myself. Thanks for your help.

I've seen many good deals on older figures in the Commerce section. Sellers here are often willing to work with you if you contact them and your requests are reasonable. Unfortunately a lot of members here feel they are entitled to a discount so Sellers (myself included) sometimes list higher prices than they expect to get knowing they will be bombarded with lowball offers.

$270 is a generous friend-price for sure.
