Maybe its the lightning but is the sword all chipped up?

i see what you mean, but it was just some odd lighting.

Congratulations! Where did you find him and at what price if I may ask? I'm trying to find one myself at a reasonable price. Is 400 british pounds a good price?

I got it on eBay, and probably paid too much ($485 shipped from NY), but had some extra tax return cash and wanted to fill the gap in my collection.

I personally cant see another Blade happening, I mean look at the source material it's hardly up there with Iron Man, Batman or X-men/Wolverine.

If you've got the money then I'd get the current Blade figure :lecture

This is my thinking too, the franchise is dead, and if there are ever anymore movies, they will reboot with another actor. HT is focused on current Marvel properties that will generate cash. Wolverine is a definite possibility because of the new movie, but I put odds on Blade getting another figure to be rather low.

Here are some more pix!

Well By the price this figure is on ebay and how rare it is to find, tells me that there is still money to be made with this franchise. People missed out, can easily make other variations from the other two movies, plus would like to see some villains still made too. Just because a movie maybe dead in a series without a reboot, doesn't necessary mean it for the collectibles as well.

:goodpost:

HT have many licenses without some excellent characters having been made at all, most of their catalog has life left in them

As much as I love this figure, I might opt to part ways with it considering SO much is coming out in the coming months. Always loved the figure, and the character is so cool, but I've never been a Blade die-hard when it came to the movies.

So I *might* be selling it, though I'm on the fence :slap

Can't we start a poll here on the forum asking people if they would buy the figure if Hot Toys re-issued it? And if many people say yes, we send the thread to Hot Toys and hope they see that there truly is an interest for one of their best figures? :dunno

Problem is too many collectors would be pissed off. You spend over $400 on something only for it to be made worthless once an updated version comes out. Anyway, Hot Toys has no interest in re-issuing figures from such cult movies as Blade and 300.

So the only option is to bite the bullet. But you'll find it's worth every penny (PS I don't have this, but recently doled out a ton to pay for Leonidas)

Mate, whatever you do, do not start a poll on this topic. Apart from the likelihood that established members will grill you like a prawn, HT don't need a petition to know that Blade is selling for a gazillion dollars because demand is high. They know what the after market is doing - hence the 2.0s and variants :)
