Finally picked one up from gohastings. Thanks for the heads up! Use ebates to get another 3% back. Might need to enter coupon code in all CAPS.

Anyone still looking for the zerker, found a pretty good deal. I check Gohastings.com a bit to try and find good deals on hot toys...which you will find from time to time with there 20% off specials. They not only have the berserker but they still have a few other hot toys and medicom...plus tons of other stuff in the Trends section.

They are running there 20% off for action figures right now, I tried the coupon out to see it it worked and Berserker before shipping came out to $152, not to shabby. Coupon code is Honestabe
That's a great price for anyone that doesn't already have one.

I just checked and they have the correct description for Berserker except the picture they are showing is Leonidas from '300' movie. I don't remember Leonidas having a laser targeting system on his helmet. :lol

FACK. I spent like 30 minutes looking for a pic of Mr. Black............

Good grief! Out of all the Hot Toys figures I own, the Berserker is my first one that had some serious quality issues.

First Berserker I received in December had a missing leather piece on the belt. :slap

I contacted HT customer service and 2 1/2 weeks later got a reply. Sent them my contact info they requested and still haven't received the replacement belt. Alter Ego ended up sending me a replacement Berserker after I returned that one.

The replacement Berserker I received from AE had additional quality issues. It looked like the skull paint hadn't dried before someone at the factory put it in the box as you can see from the photo some of the paint smeared off. There was even some tiny pieces of what looked like tissue paper where the paint rubbed off. Plus some weird white stuff on the spine as seen in the photo. Also the LED in the helmet didn't work, along with the battery cover that wouldn't tighten due to a stripped screw hole.

I returned the second Berserker to AE. To avoid further shipping back and forth, AE opened the third one they were going to send me and discovered bad paint apps on the torso that had rubbed off similar to the skull on the second one I returned. Since AE had no more in stock, they had Sideshow send me a replacement Berserker.

I received my replacement Berserker from Sideshow this week and I am happy to say there is not a single thing wrong with it. LED works, no paint issues, no missing parts, etc. :yess:

Shame on Hot Toys for letting quality control slip like that.

Kudos to Alter Ego for all their help and excellent customer service. :clap This just reaffirms why I continue to buy from them.
reading this just makes my blood boil...

my berserker came with two left gauntlets. after two rounds of pictures to prove it (they insisted it was correct the first time round which was really stupid), they agreed to send me a replacement only after i returned one of the gauntlets, which i promptly did. this was early december. it's been two months and i haven't got jack...

in the meantime, i bought the iron man mk IV, and the right heel flap is missing. no response from them the first time (and i took the chance to remind them of the gauntlet). took a rather stern email before they replied, and apparently they still have no stock of the gauntlet.

heed my warning HT... i've spent top dollar on your merchandise over the last 4 years. i will not stand for this treatment. get your damn act together. first sort out your QC. then fire your customer service team... i've never had such shoddy after sales service from you guys...

When you said you contacted them for replacement are you refering to a store where you bought the figures or Hot Toys? If it's a store, which one is it?

sorry, i meant Hot Toys. I've only dealt with HT directly all these years and they've been great until the last few months.

Wouldn't it be best to contact the store where you bought it from instead?

well, unless the figure is irrepairably broken (like say a completely broken leg, or non-functioning lights), i'd prefer not to have it exchanged. it's a waste of an otherwise proper figure and my time. missing or wrongly paired parts doesn't warrant a full exchange for me. wouldn't it be easier to just send me the part... i'll be happy, and neither the store nor HT would lose - it's simply more efficient by my principles. i'm doing everyone a favor and the logic is there... i'm sure their factory has enough spare parts to go around especially when it's a new figure.

when i bought the T-700, one of the pistons on its arm was missing. instead of returning it, i went through the same procedure and HT sent me that particular piston. in fact, they sent the entire hand with all 3 pistons! guess it didn't make a difference to them... this is the sort of service that made me respect them in the first place.

i remember a while back some guy bought a T-600 with two left feet or something. couldn't get a replacement at the store, and i don't remember how it went but HT basically agreed to send him a new figure if he destroyed his first. so he posted a video of him running the figure over with his car, blowing it up with crackers etc. my heart just sank. the feet pop off quite easily... why not just ask for the correct part and do a simple swap... :(

all i'm asking for is a predator gauntlet and an ironman heel flap. both are small detachable items, i'm sure the factory has spares. it's not like i'm asking for a brand new body or head...

Ok, I see it, I think you're right. Hope you're able to solve that with HT.

I'm kinda shocked by that requirement about the other person having to destroy the figure... :|

yeah that's one way for HT to ensure that if they send you a replacement, you don't abuse their kindness by reselling your spare defective figure.

back during the DX dark knight oily ab issue, i remember HT sending replacement suits to some collectors, but only after they showed proof that the old suit had been cut up. fair i guess, since most of us prefer not to pay return shipping costs...

I also think it's fair, but still it feels weird to destroy the product. :panic:
