I agree with that too, my point in raising the Iron Man example was simply to show that HT aren't too worried about releasing a succession of the same character. The next Terminator announcement could be a T-800 again. Previously we had argued that HT might not announce another T-800 while the existing ones are still available at first retail.

Hopefully we'll get some variety instead of back to back T-800's, They should do Reese and then finish it off with the Police Shootout T-800.

If I could have it my own way it'd be Reese next then Shootout Arnold then a new Endo. I'd include Young John Connor but I don't even think that's an option now.

I hope it is, I hope when theyre finished with T1, they'll go back to T2 because theres still many more possibilities left.

Man the damaged head is B.A! It gives off the cold, haunting look he had. I think I prefer it over the standard head.

I agree! The BD head looks fantastic. The hair on the normal head looks a little funky and the face is still a little short IMO, hopefully it will look better in person. I am glad I PO two of them.

I absolutely agree with this. Terminator has staying power, so they could release a couple of figures a year and people would still be excited about them.

To them its almost like a guaranteed sale so they can bounce others licenses out during the length of their T1/T2 reign.

I was referring to their "re-release" of the T2 T-800. They're obviously milking it for another round and I don't blame them. The 2nd release has been out for a while now so ........

If I were guessing i'd say the BD T2 T-800 is for sure next.

Its funny that you bring that up. Just last night I was looking at my T2 T-800 and it doesn't look squished in person. Yet in some pics it kind of does. Everything looks ace in person. Imo.

I agree. The only nitpick I see with the T2 T-800 is his face sort of resembles more of the way he looked in T1 rather than T2 IMO. So im glad they kept the same basic sculpt for this figure.

I keep my T2 T800 with the sunglasses on and looking up. Without the shade, the face looks a bit squashed imo. I love how the HT T1 T800 looks younger and less wrinkly. The wrinkles around the mouth area on the T2 T800 figure looks a little too pronounced imo. It is still a great figure, but I think the T1 T800 BD head is the best Arnold headsculpt Hot Toys has given us (judging from the photos anyway).

For those that own it already, has the base been corrected? I remember some people saying that the lettering used was incorrect. I think they used the "spider-man" style text.

:hi5: same here. it really helps improve the short face.

I also agree with everything else you said too.
and imo, while the sculpt is excellent on both figures, it simply isnt long/thin enough.
arnolds head is actually quite long and thin...hes got a horse head :lol

It was an optical illusion. Apparantely the side-by-side pics weren't in scale so it looked like the one of the left (T2) was wider in the shoulders.

Well, yes and no.
It turns out that I actually got the size scale pretty spot on as my 2nd edit shows.
It was an optical illusion though...but only caused by the T1s body covering the shoulders.
So basically, the shoulder width is exactly the same, even though the T2 may appear to have bigger shoulders.

Why no T2 BD T-800?

What many more? You've got 2 possible T-800s at best, and young John.

Yup, the T2 T-800 is a tricky thing to photograph, some photos look much worse than how you see it with your eye. It's too bad the camera can't show things the way the eyes see them, there's been a number of times I go to take a photo of a figure under lighting and angle that I check out first with my eyes, and no matter what, I can't get the photo to be representative of what my eyes see. That's the fun of figure photography though, as it can go the other way and present things far better than your eyes ever see them.

As horrible as most of my pictures are, I know exactly what you mean about the camera simply not picking up what youre seeing with your eyes.
And yeah, a lot of pics do seem to shrink arnolds head more than it actually looks in person.
when i got my T2, i was pleasantly surprised that his face didnt look as squished as i thought it looked in pics.
dont get me wrong though, its still squished.

Wanna see BD head on T2 Body with grey shirt. Make it happen Toy world!
Well. I am not waiting for HT or Toyworld... I ordered a BD head, cargo pants and boots to go with this piece I have been putting together. I have a Michael Jackson DX stand with "The Terminator" logo where the old nameplate was, a T2 body, grey Tee shirt and Jacket, and a custom made Armalite, the obligatory Spas shotgun... and a chrome Smith and Wesson model 15 (he uses it briefly when in pursuit on the bike near the end).
I have also added an LED for the eye which I am boring out and adding a custom sculpted endo eye (... it looks much better in real life, my camera is a puny 3.2 mega pixels so close up looks fuzzy).
I will post pics when finished.
Dizzy

I don't consider 3 many, that's why I was confused. I'd consider it many more if the line weren't so complete. Really, for a Hot Toys line, we're a BD T-800 away from a complete line. They could stretch that into 2 figures, and John's a long shot, so really, we've got one figure left.
