EXOTICLEX
Super Freak
got my shipping notice from AlterE....should be here by Wednesday.
Well, I think the large machine gun might have had more to do with that
He came today, but has an ugly paint slob/rub on his nose so have to wait for Sideshow to replace him which'll take a few weeks between shipping this one back to them and them shipping out the new one.
Have you guys noticed that the patterns on his t-shirt change on every figure?
I have two T1 T800s and they each have a different t shirt
Yeah, I more than likely read it from the T1 novels(I have both so im not sure which one) or I mightve read it from here - https://www.goingfaster.com/term2029/contents.html
Its an awesome site...it should definitely help with some of your story ideas.
That idea is excellent too by the way.

I got my two T-800s today, what a fantastic figure.
The proportions and look of this guy is great. He really looks intimidating. Pictures don't give the battle damaged headsculpt justice. In person it has this realistic, glossy wash over his wounded eye that just looks believable in every way.
Right now I have one set up as the "regular" Tech Noir Arnold with .45 longslide in hand. I love that regular head. The other one I can't put down, I have the battle damaged arm and head on it and keep swapping hands with the rifle and surgery tools.
As with all of figures, I have a few nitpicks. The arm was a _____ to get off. I decided to heat it using a blow dryer and it STILL took some force to get it off. Then ironically, once I got the battle damaged arm in, it would pop off with ease.
It was nice that they included an undamaged arm, but really they could have just left the battle damaged arm as is since the sleeve would cover it anyway. There was really no need for two separate arms. I was thinking this as I was posing my battle damaged version and simply rolled the sleeves down and snapped it the cuffs into place.
The second issue, which is probably just on mine is the collar. It's only on one (the other is perfect) but they stitched the collar too close to the shoulder. I'm not sure why Hot Toys decided to stitch either side since it hangs naturally. I decided to just clip it and it looks and fits much better.
Last "problem" is the arm construction, preferably around the shoulders on these last two (T2 and T1, never got Dutch) Arnold figures. It feels like I'm going to break them or something. The arms move in an entirely different position than the shoulder ball joint inside, I just don't like it. One side feels a little loose, while the other is tight. After seeing those pics of someone's broken T2 arm and seeing the horrible construction of the inside of the arm in the shoulder, I've been really cautious when posing and taking off the jacket on mine.
It's ashame that the arms limit articulation movement. It's similar to the T2 T-800 in that you can't raise his arms in certain positions, it's quite bother some. Especially with such iconic weapons, like the Uzi and long slide.
Thankfully, that's all the the problems I had. No wonky eyes here. In fact, the eyes are done really well like most of Hot Toys' eyes. At first I thought one leg was longer than the other until I futzed with it a bit. It ended up being the leg positioning. In doing so I did notice that this sucker is really top heavy. It took me about 10 mins to make it stand up straight.
Speaking of poses, it's almost impossible to NOT touch the studs on the back and right elbow. One of these days I'm sure I'm going to accidentally take one off and have to glue it, ala T2 leather jacket studs.
Anyway, great figure. No pictures unfortunately (left the camera at work) but I'll have time to take some in the coming weeks. Definitely one of my favorites.
My current pose -
Crappy quality as usual and it just doesnt look good in the pics for some reason.
I need to get a proper camera instead of using my laptop to take pics.
I cant even see what im taking half of the time
I notice that the figure's hairs are over his forehead as opposed to bit combed down in the movie. It makes sense though, why would a machine take time to comb back its hair ;P?
They had some issues with mis-spelling on the Aliens guys armor, as well.Yup.
But it changes slightly throughout the movie too so its no problem.
The only "problem" I do see with the T-shirt is that the wording is wrong.
It says "MoDE" and "MoD" on the figure instead of "MoDERN"...but no big deal at all.
Below shows what im talking about -
There is that short part right after the eye surgery where he checks his newly fried hair in the mirror... I always thought that little gesture was odd for a Terminator.
Badass pose, TFG. Your camera´s enough for that.
Quick poll, guys:
Which of those studs is made outta aluminium foil and glued on, pls?!
It just had it's eye brows and hair singed off. It's function is to infiltrate and locate a target in society. Maybe that gesture was shown because the T-800 was making sure it looked "normal" and human to blend in better.Same reason it puts on sunglasses (to cover up the eye) and why it leaves the scene after the car chase and the police come (it's damaged and looks inhuman).
