The SWAT team that opened fire on Arnold in T2 had machine guns, it didn't even knock him back.

The 1984 police officers however had powerful shotguns and pistols. I can't remember exactly but their numbers may have been more than the small SWAT team that went into Cyberdyne.

The Terminator just slammed into a wall at high speeds, has a wounded eye that's completely shut (so it can only see out of one eye), a bullet ridden body with damaged arm (the arm is damaged and doesn't function properly, the hand/lower arm is useless until it fixes it), it also doesn't look "normal" due to the damage and burns.

Par that with the fact that it's pretty much out of ammo and it's not even going to get close enough to Sarah. Hell, the cops are ready to blow Reese away on the spot, what would they do to a "guy" that's not only stole an officer vehicle but is going to try and maim a young woman?

Blow him away. Now, we know it wouldn't destroy it but his infiltration disguise would be useless and everyone would know what it was.

I could see Terminator following that logic. Nicely put. Its' foremost objective is to kill Sara, but not at the price of getting itself blown away. It has to "stay functional until its' mission is complete", thus the retreat.

They used M16A1's which fires a 5.56x45mm round, a much more powerful round than the 9mm Parabellum round used by the SWAT team of T2. However it's very unlikely that the police station carried armour piercing rounds, standard jacket ammo used by law enforcement around the world would probably do very little damage to the t-800 chassi.

Not as good as Tylers pics. I know it's not the AR-18 but it's going to have to do for right now. The gargoyles are a liitle big, but I think he looks O.k. Hoping to get SilentSurfer to cut out the damaged eye and put an Endo one.

Just 2 advices..

1/ Use the original Terminator BD jacket on that custom instead the T2 jacket.

2/ Cut the sideburns of that gorgoyles (Only the ear piece)

Then will look infinitely much better.. Thrust me dude!

Thanks!! I'll try it. I just wasn't sure the BD jacket would fit because of the new Arnold body.

1st, I have to say WOW!
Nice collection of terminators you got there!
I think the T2 jacket looks fine but personally, I would use the T1 jacket but use a smaller body.
The only problem then would be finding the correct neck piece.
I would also use the T2s glasses instead of those T1 gargoyles.
Great job though, my friend.

I hope you can see that the glasses fit much better.
The body and neck is too skinny though but it was just a test.

I tried it on mine thinking it would fit but I was wrong.
I dont know what that guy did to get his to fit but my jacket is so tight, he can barely move his arms.
Its just too small IMO.

I got mine for $191 shipped through AE, Greg. Being in CA I'd say if you can still score one shipped for anywhere close to under $200 you'd be doing well.

Personally, I did'nt tried it yet, because I'm still waiting to get mine.. but yesterday I saw another custom with the same Terminator BD jacked, and seems that works fine (sorry I can't find the link now)..nevethless the poseability could be worst.. But again not sure
