Yeah, i feel you. I was going to start one a while back but, and no offense to anyone that has one, the bloody eye looks dumb to me. It would drive me absolutely crazy. So Id have to get it commisioned out to at least get it repainted. Then Id have to buy the body, hunt a jacket down or mod one or resort to the T2 jacket, buy those damn boots, the custom gargoyles, the ****ing AR-18 no one can find etc. etc. blah blah. Thats an expensive kitbash and Im kind of tired of spending that sort of money on this stuff. So I said **** it, if HT doesn't do one then I'll do with out.

I'm right there waiting for Hot Toys to make more official Terminator 1 figures, the police shootout, battle damaged, hobo pants Reese and maybe one day an endo that actually looks like it's from Terminator 1.

I had what I felt was a pretty damn good one but was made an offer I couldn't refuse for it which funded Christmas for me. I am thusly without this most iconic look once again and went off the idea of rebuilding it for the reasons you've stated. Pain in the arse and expense for a kitbash figure that, one would think, HT surely have planned.
Alas I think an endoskeleton is an endoskeleton to Hot Toys. They probably aren't even aware theres differences in the first place.

I'm not sure if I saw it. Did it have the endo eye or at least the blood painted over?

Yeah it had an endo-eye and was totally repainted and painted well, it did not look out of place with stock HT figures. Got it from Commando. It completed my kitbash as I had everything else. Then only a short while later I got the offer. I wish I'd been made that offer for something I cared less about.
I have the same one from Commando that I bought off eBay a while back. There are pictures of it here a ways back in the thread.
Commando did a fantastic job on that head really hoping he finds time to do one for myself .....

This is a very cool figure but I'm with the people in here hoping Hot Toys will eventually announce the police shootout version. The tech noir look is cool too though.

I had my custom and I traded it; I know Hot Toys will get around to doing a PSO T1 TERMINATOR version; hopefully it'll be a DX with an extra head, hands and weapons.
Pretty sure everyone in here is waiting for that. Even the ones that decided to put a PS bash together.
A DX version with 2 hs for the tanker look with extra BD clothes would be awesome. We have to wait for them to release the 1/4 PS version first and then hopefully a 1/6 version will follow.

Agreed on the extra parts for the tanker version, I would love that
However I would prefer it to be an mms release just like the technoir was as pers is hit and miss, and a release like this I would not want to leave it up to chance
