This is my first Hot Toys after the Dark Knight DX's...so I'm still in that early nervous stage. I'm scared to mess with him too much. The Muscle body combined with a more complex outfit has me apprehensive to go nuts with the posing.

And here's something I've always wondered, how the heck do you swap hands without pulling the whole wrist balljoint out too?

Yup, I must say, you have to be extremely careful on Cap.
one of the straps on the holster easily snapped when I was futzing with the figure.
Same with the strap in the shield. The one that goes in between his hands snapped when I was trying to have him hold it. It completely came off. Fortunately, the side that has a buckle is still there so I put that in his hands so it still has the visual that the strap is in his hands, plus the buckle keeps in place inside his hands. the other half that snapped, I didnt bother gluing it and just put it somewhere in the box.

Looks great, Remy...

Mine just arrived today (what a pleasant surprise, wasn't expecting him until Monday). Still in the box. Grateful for all of the reaction here about straps, holsters and the like. I'll take extra care in taking him put of the box and handling him...

Got my shipping notice. Will arrive wednesday :yess: and i just preordered him like 2 days ago.

Unfortunately i gotta wait till christmas to open him :gah:

Freed Cap from his cardboard (albeit nice cardboard) prison....

Just a quick shot after getting him geared up....

Some first impressions....wow! This figure is fantastic....absolutely top-notch cut-n-sew on his uniform...everything from the quilted shoulder pads and straps to his tightly-laced combat boots is superbly crafted and detailed. The head sculpt is good, with sharp, well-painted eyes casting a great determined stare.

The limbs on this one are EXTREMELY tight - the arms so much so I was concerned about breaking them to get them to bend. The hands popped off easily (not so easy to get back on though) and as others have observed, some of the gear requires extra care in handling, especially that holster. The shield doesn't look so good in pictures, but in hand it'sgot a great spun metal sheen to it that looks great.

Once he's geared up though - man! What a great looking figure. So glad I held onto this order...pcking up a HT figure is a rare thing for me (steep price, mainly)...but I loved the movie, and HT has created a great figure of the First Avenger....now let's see how Red Skull turns out!

Keep posting more great shots, folks!

I got mine on Friday but I'll have to wait until Christmas before I can open him. My twin brother told be he'd like to pay for Cap as a gift!
Who am I to complain?
