Got my Cap from my local dealer who has an account with Sideshow. No issues with mine. A on helmet is perfect, shield is clean, etc..

Question: Has anyone changed the body to get more articulation?

I believe Robbie changed the body to a TT, not sure what type of TT though

i just opened mine up and i'm diggin' it! it's not perfect : the 'A' on the helmet is a little crooked. but, once the guns, bandolier, and shield are added, the figure looks great!
also, i used the longer ankle pegs that were provided and it really made a difference.

I changed the body yesterday, I used the New Goblin body (is the same as Cap but with TT arms). Is a PAIN IN THE A** ....

I was about 1 hour for changing the body, the Jacket is very tight... If you're going to do it, you shouldn't be afraid of breaking, because you'll get rough.

Do all the HT Captain America's come with a set of long foot pegs. If so where in the box do you find them. I can't seem to find them in my box.

The longer foot pegs are found with the wrist pegs but many figures dont have them...

As far as making the legs look too long, thats really not true. The proportions seem much better with the longer pegs.

Yeahp! cap's really supposed to be shorter than Thor and IM, hence cap should just have 1/6th above average human height (as opposed to godly/robotic height)

but giving extra pegs is a win-win scenario

thats pretty nice. What are the two black bases you have them standing on?

They're actually from japanese plastic display cases; i just removed the shell/covering for photo-taking purposes

After taking several deep breaths, I finally had the balls to mod my Cap last night. I've had the paints to do the mod for awhile but just havent had the guts to do it until I saw of the mods that were done here. One thing that really bothered me was the helmet. I wish they would have done it like the IM mark 4 which was plastic but it looks like metal. So after watching the movie several times, I noticed that his helmet has some shine to it to make it look like its metal.
So, I glossed the heck out of his helmet. Also added the battle damage to it which gives it more of metal helmet look. I also dry brushed lighter brown on the leather part of the helmet to make it look like its leather since it only had one coat and its too dark. I also weathered the gray straps on his uniform. I glossed his boots and pouches on his belt. Weathered the white part of the torso. Also added the taller foot pegs which did a significant difference. I think I may still go back and add more weathering on the outfit...not sure. But at the moment I'm extremely happy on how it turned out.

The glossy helmet looks great to me. What kind/brand of gloss did you use, and was it a spray or a paint? And did you have to do multiple layers?

Havent done something like this before but I'd like to.

This is the first picture I have seen of the new costume that I actually like. It gives me hope that the next hot toy Capt. America could be better than the original release. It's funny, I have never considered myself to be a big Capt. America fan in fact I hated the first movie when I first saw it (it has since grown on me) but I still will likely end up owning both of hot toy versions when it's all said and done.

Are those the stars on his shoulders? All the other pics I've seen don't have anything on his shoulders? :dunno
