This is the first picture I have seen of the new costume that I actually like. It gives me hope that the next hot toy Capt. America could be better than the original release. It's funny, I have never considered myself to be a big Capt. America fan in fact I hated the first movie when I first saw it (it has since grown on me) but I still will likely end up owning both of hot toy versions when it's all said and done.

Looks to me that Thor and Captain America are the same height in this photo.

I think it's just because Cap is closer to the camera. Side by side, Hemsworth is a good half-a-head taller than Evans.

probably been talked about before but whats with the head sculpt?

Yeah, it's been talked about.... quite a bit. I think that this thread has actually gotten past it. We are now on to crooked A's and Stars, and dinged up shields. Getting mine this week sometime (snow permitting). Hopefully my cap will be free of such flaws.

Thanks Erik.

The glossy helmet looks great to me. What kind/brand of gloss did you use, and was it a spray or a paint? And did you have to do multiple layers?

Havent done something like this before but I'd like to.

I used testors gloss coat acrylic for the helmet. I was gonna use spray at first, so I tested it first on the boots. It looked great but not as glossy as I wanted for the helmet so I used paint instead. I will say that it was tricky using paint to gloss as at some point I thought I screwed it up cause I'm fairly new to modding myself. Some parts were uneven so I applied a lot more coating. It turned out by doing so made it better as it really made it look like a metal helmet so it was a happy accident.
I'm very happy with the results.

Old video but new to me. Looks fantastic. Can't wait!

Your mods turned out really nice! Did you need to mask out anything, or were you just really careful to not get any gloss on his skin?

Remy, your Cap looks really nice. I prefer the glossy helmet and all the weathering. I keep checking out this thread and each day I get closer and closer to ordering him.

Please keep sharing your mods. I'll be wanting to do them to mine if I do get him.

Does anyone who has used Pledge w/Future and Testors gloss think that both products would achieve similar results on the helmet?
