Thanks for the suggestion guys..but I think I'll keep it in its default setup...too afraid of damaging something along the change process

Here's the new "Sweet Taste of Liberty" version of Cap:

All kidding aside, I love this figure. Looking forward to getting the new HT Red Skull.

After taking several deep breaths, I finally had the balls to mod my Cap last night. I've had the paints to do the mod for awhile but just havent had the guts to do it until I saw of the mods that were done here. One thing that really bothered me was the helmet. I wish they would have done it like the IM mark 4 which was plastic but it looks like metal. So after watching the movie several times, I noticed that his helmet has some shine to it to make it look like its metal.
So, I glossed the heck out of his helmet. Also added the battle damage to it which gives it more of metal helmet look. I also dry brushed lighter brown on the leather part of the helmet to make it look like its leather since it only had one coat and its too dark. I also weathered the gray straps on his uniform. I glossed his boots and pouches on his belt. Weathered the white part of the torso. Also added the taller foot pegs which did a significant difference. I think I may still go back and add more weathering on the outfit...not sure. But at the moment I'm extremely happy on how it turned out.

The wait was worth it, no? :D Be prepared to have to reglue the straps on the shield. HT was very conservative with their glue lol

Already been down that road :slap

The wait was well worth it. My second favorite Marvel figure behind Wolverine. I cannot wait for black suit Spiderman and Red Skull.

Thanks Nick. That's probably the next step but I want to get another shield first in case I screw it up since I'm still fairly new to modding.

Just get a can of testors dull and your cant mess it up lol...its only 5 bucks at hobbytownUSA

Yeah, I also bought Testors dullcoat to go along with the rest of the mod but I chickened out last night when I did the mods. :lol
I think I want another shield first just in case since I'm not a pro at modding. I've only done a few here and there which is why it took me awhile to do my mods. There were plenty of days where I got Cap out of the display case but ended up putting him back for fear of ruining it.
