Black spidey EX or Red spidey?

Are there significant differences between the figs other than neck and color?

The suit on the black is done better. Feels almost sticky better honeycomb pattern. (it's overall better than the red suit) You can always sell the HS and the base and just keep the figure food for thought.

If you're talking about the ASM 1 suit, I'd go with the black suit figure, it's easily the best of the three figures hot toys has done of Spidey. The neck is done the best and the over all quality of the suit is really high. Not to mention the Sandman base rocks. If you're going to buy spidey now, go with the black suit I'd say, other wise wait for the ASM 2 suit, which probably won't be for a year and a half at least. Spider man hasn't been a hot seller for hot toys so I'm not confident that they'll get the ASM 2 suit out in a decent time frame. It looks like they dropped the spider man 3 line completely, I was looking forward to Venom but that never happened.

It's the same body. It's basically the same suit, with a different symbol on the chest and back. I'm looking at the two now, side-by-side, and the proportions look the same.

It looks the same to me. I even walked up to it, to confirm.

Now, don't get mad though if some HTs guru 'walks in' and says else wise. To the naked eye....it looks the same.

I don't have the ASM one obviously, but the articulation and 'bendiness' of the SM3 Spidey's were REALLY impressive. Don't discount them too much. You can't go wrong either way, BUT if you don't want to wait the 2+ years....think about it.

Having both, you are correct
My asm is much more poseable than the black spidey
But, the black spidery suit is awesome, almost stickey like a real symbiot
