RIGHT! The Captain...I held off from getting TFA figure as I knew this one was coming, and even if I am in the minority, I like what is coming and what he comes with.

To me, there is just enough "Classic Cap" in the costume for me to really like it. Although the child of the 70s in me would still love to see a straight-classic-comic-book-version HT Cap figure just for the sheer indulgence of it

I was at Walmart the other day and saw some of the Avengers advertisements....with Caps ears sticking out. I actually looked at it for a bit. Looking at the HT version I like the ears covered and the fact that the headpiece looks more like a helmet than a mask. Figure was a 10 (out of 10) already and just keeps getting higher and higher on the scorecard

I've seen the film twice now and I have grown to except the look. The photshop mod I did a few pages back I think still looks better but I am really ok with this now. I have the FA version and I know I will be getting this one two. I really like his character arc in the film.

I think I'll always look at the head/neck portion of the costume as a failed attempt. The ears left open and a chin strap would have went a long way. It's more a helmet than anything: give it a chin strap. Hopefully in Cap 2 or Avengers 2, the second stab at a modernized costume will go over better.

Funny thing about the HT First Avenger figure is that the figure's suit was a better looking facsimile than the actual on-screen hero suit.

It's just the opposite this time for the Avengers suit.

That´s exacty what I think about the outfit... Still not undestand WHY they just didn´t give him a helmet like Utimates 2...

I´m considering to put the FA head in the modern cap and the Chris Evans head in the FA, with the BD shield...

Does anyone have the Art of The Avengers yet? It's got some variations of the helmet. I must say I like the ears on the profile shot but from the front not so much.

After seeing the movie, I can confirm that this Cap looks less goofy on screen than he appeared in pics. But he still appears a bit goofy in still shots IMO. I will probably get this figure though.

I sort of see why they did it now earless, does look pretty dated and corny.
