I guess it depends on what you like, the smaller changes make it much better to me. I never hated the original look but wished a few things were different and now they are.

I love how some ppl can say "evolution" about such an obvious regression from THOR to AVENGERS.

It is an evolution. Most people use the term in the sense of how his suits change from one movie to the next and we'll always be able to look at his suit and say, "that was from Thor... or Avengers number...". Now whether you like the outfit or not is a different story, of course.

Lucky for me, I've liked every one so far.

Ofcourse it's not bcuz it makes no sense :lol
Evolution is a gradual development and improvement.
The only thing that has been "improved" over the "THOR" desing is the number of pointless details in his main costume.

:exactly:

My local radio station (FREE Radio 97 + 102.9FM) played a practical joke on the public on launch day of the IP5.

They went out on to the streets of Coventry, showing folks 'the new iPhone, and what you get for your money'

Everyone commented on the lager screen, the faster functions, the better apps, the weight. Everyone was universally singing its praises...

It was an iPhone 4 he'd been showing around, and no one noticed. :slap

Pointless details in his costume?? It's a superhero movie and they ALL have details in their costumes that change from movie to movie. The first movie was the worst of them all. Speaking of stupid pointless details what the **** is he wearing around his thigh in THOR? A garter? That needed to go.

The Dark World looks to be the worst out of the three.

The change to dark blue pants was a good one, but now they're backtracking. I'm sick of the busy chest pieces, and black pants. He needs more color. The flap doesn't work without contrast. Even the new gauntlets are mostly silver now with no red.

I'm still hoping that one day we see less busy chest pieces, more like his modern or classic costumes. I know there is some hommage they could come up with that could work visually on the big screen...and for the love of god I am so sick of Hemmsworth being a pretty boy and not wearing the helmet. I think it would look awesome. It's how Thor has always looked. To me, it's almost as important of a feature as Cap's cowl.

1. Way to soon to give a final verdict, but so far I do prefer the look and color balance of Avengers Thor. Not overwhelming, so I'd settle for Thor 2 if I wasn't getting Av Thor.

2. Looking at the comparison shot, CH really does have a mini-head. Looks like HT got that right after all.

I think it's more that he has a neck like a Brachiosaurus, which helps to create that illusion.

its 'evolution' to me. in MY OPINION, the suit is getting better, progressing.

i'm sure you can design a better costume compared to art teams in this noob company called Marvel.

good thing i don't give a mouse's heinie about your opinion to buy my toys.

I agree about TA costume being the best so far. Perhaps the Thor 2 suite will grow on me after I see him in action again.

And to think, we are talking about the "evolution" of Thor and you mention this! :lol
