That hair line looks like total crap. I'm canceling all of my orders anyway due to not having space and other hobbies to spend money on instead. Kind of glad now seeing that. What is the logic of taking a figure and making it as realistic as possible and then destroying that by putting a huge obnoxious seam line at the most noticeable spot??

seam in the hair is a big disappointment for me, it may have been there in the spec pics but was barely noticeable. It's not so the clothes is easy to take off as for that you'd just remove the whole head not just the hair.

I don't see why they'd do it for the helmet from the Thor movie figure but that's most likely what its for

Its there because the hair is molded separately from rest of the head and it has nothing to do with a helmet or anything. Its required for production. When it comes out I suspect some people will have a larger, more noticeable seam than others.

Mmm, I think they did it that way so we can remove the clothes easily, well that's my theory I could be wrong

The more intricate and individually sculpted a piece gets, the more separate sections it is most like to get cast in. Something as individual as hair tips must be a nightmare to cast. Even Matt Smith's quiff on the BIG CHIEF 11th Dr Who figure is cast as a separate piece.

You might be able to cast it all in one go, but the breakages and damaged pieces you'd get when removing them from the molds would mount up really quickly.

I would but i suspect it would be cheaper to get them from a supplier i know who breaks up figures.

The 1st pic is directly from Sideshows Gallery. The 2nd is the newly surface pic. The 3rd is the pic that was release with the IMPROVED head sculpt

There is definitely a slight part in the original and improved HS pics, but nowhere near as pronounced as the latest pic. I'm hoping its just lighting, the angle, or a prototype.

Meh, I'm not worried by that new pic. I think it's a glitch in the proto or something. I think the finished product will be fine. He's still The Avenger I'm looking forward to the most!

Me too! I'm also not worried about the latest pic with the head seam issue. I think that was a hurried display piece anyway.
