Yeah, it sorta looks like it the earlier sculpt got stretched across both sides of the head or something. Wider eyes, wider mouth, etc. Forehead seems to have more detail on the production version as well. Would seem very odd not to go with the 2nd version they showed after all the acclaim it received.
Could definitely be the case. Lighting, angle, and photo quality can do a lot to a sculpt. But there could be some slight changes from the prototype to the production casts even if the intention was for them to look exactly the same.

The picture of Thor on the left looks distorted. The hair looks really dark and so does the rest of the headsculpt so I definitely think it's because of lightning and the camera it looks so different.

I think it looks great, and I love the fact that they got the armor detail with the writing on the disks. So small and probably not noticeable from several feet away. Its little things like that, that got me into 1/6 scale collecting.

The pictures aren't nearly as accurate as the video. I just wish people would understand that holding the head close to the lens doesn't give any better shot when its not focused then holding it back. I will say the mouth looks much better in regards to the parting of the lips then what we are seeing in the photos. The flat lighting shows the details that the strong over head puts into shadows.

It is amazing how different I feel about the likeness after watching that video! I wasn't seeing much Hemsworth in still pictures... But the likeness looks great in the video!

just from what I seen in the past, my guess is early April, that's IF SSC gets him by the first or second week of March, I have no idea how far behind they're going to be, we still have the DX11, Bane, and Black Widow to come first
