I saw some Avengers display in the background of another pic, but there's been no focal shots of it. so perhaps people just haven't gotten around to photographing Spidey since there's alot of new figures to shoot first.

Maybe they are delaying Spider-Man because they are preparing a prototype of Lizard. If Lizard pre-orders happen around same time as Spider-Man is released they could boost sales of each other. Sounds legit to me

I talked to one of the SSC reps tonight and asked him if a lack of a Spidey figure was a bad sign for this figure.

He said no, that they were focusing more this year on upcoming figures rather than figures which had been up for PO for a long time.

Which is funny, considering how many sold out Avengers and Iron Man figures were on display.

Pretty disappointed with SDCC so far, was hoping to see this and Arkham City figures, only thing i want that's been shown is Gemini. Hopefully AC and this are at Ani-com (w/e its called)

I think that's an interesting statement from the Rep. Granted though, they didn't even show the '89 batmobile or the camo tumbler. So he might have a point.

Still I think it's kind of strange that this figure has been so delayed. I mean I can almost understand the delays with the Tron Bike, given the electrical and lighting issues, but this is just a figure?

I believe that, though. Last year and the year prior were a lot more figures that had been out forever, I assumed because they were all "in-stock" on Sideshow's site and they were likely trying to get them sold! Hell I think even Tracker Predator and the others from the 2010 "Predators" film were on display last year!

I don't believe there's a single Iron Man figure on display this year that's actually been released, is there? The Avengers display is an exception I think - just because the whole team is finally "assembled" and it's likely a huge crowd-magnet.

You should have redirected his attention to the wall of avengers and Iron man figures they had on display, put a knife up to his face and demanded for the Spidey figure.

The 89 Batmobile was there. No tumbler, but The Bat was there.

Every Iron Man figure ever was there - 1-6 in the Hall of Armor setup, the Tony Stark from IM3, and every figure from IM3 all were on display. Oh and both Mk VIIs.

It really is time for an update on this figure, Hot Toys aren't even confirming he's been delayed anymore, its like they've completely forgot about him
