I think it looks pretty great, except for that neck joint crease which really bugs me. Even think the head sculpt is pretty good, though some pictures make it look bad.

I also like that the body type is that of a teenage, scrawny boy, you know, what spider man is supposed to be.

True, the other figure is a little too muscular. I think the photos look good. I loved Garfield as Peter/Spider-Man quite a bit. However, I don't like the costume design too much. I'm hoping it grows on me. While it was too muscular the Spider-man 3 figure had a beautiful shade of red and blue in my opinion.

I think I will see about gluing the neck seam closed. Its the main concern I have with this figure. Same reason I was all for not having a Toby head on the first figure. Movie magic allows the seam to disappear when the mask is on. These figures show the reality.

^It's new... and due to it... I believe it looses base of neck articulation, but overall not much movement is lost...

It's like a fixed neck body...but it allows you to switch in different necks (however the necks comes with the heads)

Buying this figure isn't a good idea for a collector. There will be a new Spiderman movie and whole new, different, better and comic book maching costume.

It's a dead-born figure.
Sadly a bit true. It does work with the ideas people suggested, progression of the suits. Assuming he gets a new one in the 3rd/4th movie. In fact, does anyone know why he switches to a new suit in ASM2?

I think the Andrew Garfield head looks a bit better in those new pics. Not as great as other HT likenesses, like the Robert Downey and Christian Bale ones for instance, but still solid. I just hope he's around for a long time cause I don't think I can get him till Christmas >_>

So at first when I saw the pics today I was a bit underwhelmed and unimpressed with pretty much everything. I admit as the day has gone on I've become and more more impressed. Elijah and OMGs pics did it for me. They seem to have been able to futz better than most and I think with proper posing and futzing this figure can be great.

Liked the movie and liked the suit so I'm giving it a go.

The only downsides I see are A) his weird neck joint in some shots mainly from below and B) he seems to look better in static poses as opposed to action poses due to what looks like a lack of ankle articulation. But I think I'll accept the challenge to get an action pose to look awesome and futzed properly in my display.

Sorry, but that's gotta be the stupid comment of the day! Isn't a good idea for a collector?!?! Are you the type of collector that "invests", or needs to pick up the latest and greatest?? Or are you the kind of collector that simply collects figures from source material they like??

To me, I couldn't care less that there's a sequel coming out. Going by your logic, noone should've bought any of the previous Iron Man figures since they release so many from each subsequent movie. Or dont get any of the previous Batman figures because they release Batman figures for each subsequent movie......

Are you even saying people who have the original red/blue Tobey Spiderman figure are worse off now that the new sequel is coming out? The costumes represent Spiderman in different eras, and I would've thought it would be a great idea for collectors to get all the variants of the costume, not just ones that looked out of the comics. Remember, these are figures representing the look from movies, not from comics.
