I don't mind people criticizing the figure, that's what we're here for! But it pee's me off when people start going into one about the suit and how they've ruined it and that Raimi is some untouchable god and blah, blah, blah.

Who in here has said that "Raimi is some untouchable god" or "The suit is ruined!" What has been said is that some people prefer the Raimi suit, which is a completely different animal than the one on this figure. And you quite obviously DO mind when people don't agree with your opinion, as this thread makes evident.

THe internet is full of people not marching in lockstep with your opinion. People demanding all agreement, all the time are a pet peeve of mine.

i love the new suit, i just think this HT doesn't look enough like it to bother with. love the original SM trilogy one though, looks spot on.

It isn't always about loving or hating it. I was anticipating this to be a very very cool figure. I am criticizing things because I think it still has potential. If people are just saying things to piss people off then sure, they shouldn't keep on doing it but I don't think thats what anyone is really going for. I canceled my order and it sucks because I want them to make some changes to improve it, I don't feel it meets HT standards and so do a lot of others.

You don't get the point at all: this figure needs improvements. Not just one or two, but a whole slew of them. That's the point, and HT needs to hear it.

I'm in agreement with that, it's when people go off topic and start attacking the movie itself and the costume design that bugs me, it isn't necessary and it's not what we're here to discuss.

OSB works out a better deal if you don't mind waiting a little after Sideshow

Well for my BATMAN '89 figure, I got charged the estimated $25 (£16 approx) but then, you get hit by import duties via FEDEX.

They also add a nice little fillip for themselves and stick on another £10-15 ($16-23) as an 'administration charge'.

In total for BATMAN it came to another £43 ($27) on top of the $25 already paid! Now I don't have any intentions of or problems with paying any due tax on getting this to me...it's all part and parcel...but it is the over-the-top cost thrown in by FEDEX that gets me mad!

Total cost door-to-door £187 ($291 approx)

I said this ages ago but it fell on deaf ears for the haters who lived to hate.

This has all the elements a Spidey Costume needs, it's just a bit different.

I love the design and will be getting the figure for sure, some tweaks will be great but i'm not hung up on them.

I know, but I'm a huge Batman fan and love the Nolan movies so I want to complete that set.

As for the Avengers, I'm just picking up the secondary characters and Loki to go along with the Marvel collection I already have.

I'd rather pass on SM now and pick up a figure from a movie I really like (Xavier from XM:FC)

That's a f@%$ing joke! Why do they have to use fedex? I have had customs charges before but never heard of administration charges, especially that high!

I miss ordering direct from Hot Toys, they used to mark my packages as gifts for me so I avoided all customs charges
