The Spider-Man Figure is expected in November and is currently being manufactured by Hot Toys. As soon as we have more information on a processing/shipping date from Hot Toys, we will be in touch with email with more information for you. This notice is typically sent out 14-21 days before the item is charged and shipped.

What's typically the reason for the time gap between the Hong Kong release, and the Sideshowtoy release?

Hot Toys is in Hong Kong. So everything is made there and released there first. It's usually a month after they come out in HK that SSC gets them in the US (I'm assuming they take the slow boat across the Pacific). Then SSC starts shipping to buyers and retailers. So other retailers start shipping theirs out a couple of weeks after SSC.

It varies a little, but this is usually the way that it goes. Once the bloggers like OMG post in hand photos, we get the figure in our hands in the US about 5-6 weeks later.

^HT is in HK... However the figures are produced/made/manufactured in Mainland China... Though shipping to HK by land (presume) is trivial I suppose, while shipping to the rest of the world probably goes through HK as well (or the nearest port in China)
