Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

WOW that is a huge list of figures/statues that SS and HT you are now gonna pass on, that is a lot of revenue aka your money that they are loosing out on. I to am passing on most of those HT figures, I am just going to enjoy what I own.

It isn't that much for a large business. Plus his cancellations will easily be picked up by someone else. People thinking that voting with their wallet matters don't know how little it really does. Unless it happens on a large scale, it don't mean ____.

It does make us feel better, like all the occupy Wall Street people. My wallet wont make a difference, but at least they are not getting my $$$!!!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I'll just be glad if it doesn't cost more than 300 dollars here in Europe... You guys in North America are spoiled with such low prices and above that you can buy from Hong Kong which is even cheaper and avoid taxes...

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

No matter what the price, it will eventualy sell out, just like everything they have released. If you pass on it, the next guy buys and so on.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I remember the days when I used to think buying an HT figure from a Hong Kong-based dealer on eBay was overspending, since shipping was routinely $50-60USD. I'd end up paying $210-$220 on figures shipped (and this was back in late '09-'10) and thought I was spending too much and indulging because of my impatience.

By comparison to recent times, those were the 'good ol days'.

I dunno. I really want this. I think I'll go with AE. Not in a rush to have stuff quickly anymore.

eh, pre-ordered from SSC. it's just easier to buy from where i've purchased previously and i'm not concerned about a few dollars here or there. definitely looking forward to this figure.

I'm sure if he's joining this board and ordering from SSC, he knows the price, can afford it, and not worried about it. Which is what I wish a lot of board members would do.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

me too...until the next great figure with an even better RDJ sculpt:hi5:

Yeah, I'm probably thinking that same thing at the moment and then I'll probably cave for IM3 stuff like Iron Patriot.:lol

Both of you are right, its just money. Cant die with it. I just like to tell myself that to justify the money I spend at the time.:duff

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Collectors are the ones to blame for the high prices. I'm sure HT and SS reps see what these are selling for on Ebay and realize that people are idiotic enough to pay stoopid prices. They know they'll sell out if they price it at $150 or $250. I mean c'mon, ae these things worth $300-$700? No! Those of you paying these prices on Ebay are the ones to blame :cuckoo:
Yes indeed. Knowing the prices these will reach on the secondary market is why I make ordering immediately a priority. This time though, I have 4 PFs with NRDs in that time frame and cannot afford anything else in March. If it was May, probably would, and pray it goes no higher.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Hey guys for someone in Canada is Sideshow still a good option or anyone know of better alternative within the country? I've used Urban Samurai hobbies before but not for Hot Toys and wondering if the delay is much bigger

You only wait sometimes a few more days from Urban Sammurai but wow is the pricing much better!!!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Too rich for my blood. This is getting close to PF territory. I mean, I really like and enjoy my HT figures, but I gotta draw the line somewhere.

At most, I might buy this from another site, but I certainly can't swing this with SSC. Even if I try to offset it with a GC or RPs, I still don't earn points, which hurts even more.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

If you live in Canada then I would use toys 2 . There always getting figures first . I used to use them exclusively for years but shipping cost to America have sky rocketed to astronomical rates lately . There's just no way I can use them anymore unfortunately . For you there the Place to go .

+1 for toys2 as well. They've been very reliable for me, and they are usually the first in NA to get the HT stuff, sometimes even before Sideshow. Their shipping is usually about $12 cdn.
