Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

So what does the 10 disc set do for you other than getting all the Marvel movies together in one set? Anything additional over getting them all separate?

There is one bonus disc of extra content. That's the only additional thing (unless you count the case too).

With the exception of my Bespin Luke, we have almost the identical items on order. Wait... where's your IM MK (2.0)?

I know i just dont fancy that one im more interested in finishing avengers, TDKR and spiderman

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Im in the uk and I'm just gonna pre order on amazon US hopefully i can play it in the UK

Well The Avengers is a MARVEL/DISNEY title and the new Disney blurays are notoriously locked.

Which is a shame as all the other movies are region un-locked.

Will need to rethink my order strategy too, EzyDVD upped their price. It was $30 Aus when I ordered it...now it appears to be up at a stratospheric $49!!!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I'm also tempted to pre-order the new Joker. Too bad, I'm NOT rich. I want my Avengers team first which is my top priority at the moment!

:lol I did not order it for exactly the same reasons! :wink1:

It is far too much money for the head sculpts and a table and chair set. I can buy those from the secondary market easily enough and have a figure with all the bits, but at a minimum cost.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Kinda OT but considering the Nicholson Joker cost about the same, came with one head, about the same in terms of accessories and clothes, and no big diorama piece like the table and chair, the new Ledger Joker seems like a good deal to me. Based on previous DX pricing you're basically getting the second head, table, and chair for free.

I had to cave and order the joker despite the fact im waiting on mark vii and hulk i feel like so far this seems like hot toys most productive in terms of new figures and lines

You're right about it being OT. So.........

My final comment on this will be...If you have never bought a Ledger Joker then it is a very good deal indeed. As I already have the DX01, I shall be picking up the seperates when they hit the spares market.

OT...I thought about this too but by the time you pay for all the extra goodies, you've spent like half the cost of the figure if not more! You use to could get good deals for parted out pieces but the secondary market has shifted and now they wayyy over price most of the sought after parts. If I'm gonna spend half the figure cost, I better have more than a couple heads and some diorama assecories!

On Topic, do we think we'll see this before Hulk?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

OK, my absolute, final, no this is really IT, OT style entry...

I could easily make a 1/6 scale table and chair set, even the Angle-poise lamp, myself from balsa, plasticard and plastruct. It would not be difficult. As the lamp would have a power cord, it could even be functional. None of that would be too difficult or exensive.

Right. That's really it now.

Back on topic...yes I think TIH will be the last of the Avengers, purely based on it being a 'start totally from scratch and make it big' type figure.

Lee, my money is on a full reveal of Bats before HULK, however I bet HULK will be at SDCC along with all of the Avengers
