I love Jackman's protrayal of Wolvie... but man does he look WAY too tall in group shots.

Yup. Jackman is 6'2" and the only member taller than him is colossus/Cudmore who is 6'7". BobbyAshmore is 5'11" and Scott/Marsden is only 5'10". Not very comic accurate but it is what it is.

It's still casting genius though. Fist time I watched X-men I remember being in awe of just how spot on Jackman was as Wolverine.
It's like he leaped right out of the comic book.

I have to admit, even though I'd buy all the X-Men they make, many have made the arguement that the group in the black leather suits together is not very exciting looking. I have to agree. Unlike the recent group shots of the Avengers figures. Just my opinion.

Have to agree. Wolverine might actually look better on his own or with one teammate rather than a large group as depicted there. Can't imagine spending $1400.00+ on that group... just way too similar looking.

Haha, yeah, had same reaction. Second favourite casting decision for me, after Wolverine, was Cyclops. Thought he really looked the part.

They would if their colors/design piping stood out more. Kinda wish they kept the "X-Icicles" in X3 from the promos of Iceman in X2.

Yeah. From that pic above, bobby is the only one who really stands out with the white piping besides storm and kitty.

Yep. Also never liked Wolverine and Jean costume designs - too blunt and pointless.

Not talking about XIII - Iceman, Shadowcat and Colossus... just blah

I decided to pass on this figure, as much as I love the X-Men films:

1. I own the Medicom version, which has fantastic tailoring and actually looks quite nice with a repaint.

2. The lack of a second headsculpt in light of the expression chosen (I see Jackman, but want a more neutral or subtle head).

3. This the X3 suit. I would prefer the silver piped one, since I still plan to do a Jean Grey custom using the SSC Famke Jansen Bond head.

Yep, Jackman was awesome as Wolverine. I always liked cyclops in the films too, but its a shame he is the most underused character in the trilogy. I can't even think of a scene where he stands out and is not getting his ass beat.

Cyclops - Blue and yellow piping in X1, blue piping in X2 (promo only in X3)
Storm - White piping in all three films
Jean Grey - Green piping in X1, Red piping in X2/X3
Iceman - White piping (with icicle designs only in promos) in X2, Frosty Blue piping in X3
Rogue - Green piping
Colossus - Grey piping
Shadowcat - Pink piping
Angel - (Promos only) Blue piping

If Singer stayed aboard, we likely would've still had Nightcrawler (I would've used purple or red piping for him). Gambit might've also made it (likely purple piping), and Beast could've been dark grey furred instead of blue furred (according to X2 commentary). I also would've had Angel in gold piping.

Irrelevant, but I can dream...especially when it comes to possible future customs!

Agreed, Marsden as Cyclops was great IMO. Too bad the movies were more like Wolverine and the Xmen.

It'll likely be more noticeable in figure form, but that's an assumption.

Well I guess you have to think of the X-Men as "school" super heroes (a group of mutants in a school, that form a team, as opposed to a bunch of individual heroes teaming up) So the leather suits would technically be their 'school' uniform.

At least that's how I always viewed the X-Men wearing similar uniforms with variations of their character.

There's no way I would pay this much for this figure, even if I could afford it right now. Also, the X-Men movie outfits just weren't that visually interesting to me. What I would luv to see is a Beast from X-Men: First Class. I don't know if I would order any of the others characters from XFC but definitely Beast, that design (makeup and outfit) was simply awesome, maybe Azazel as well but the suit really detracted from his appearance IMO. I would also luv to have a Nightcrawler in a yellow/blue Jim Lee/X:FC type outfit, or in his original red, white and black outfit.
