It's like how much you spend determines if your waitlist get converted if I didn't know better, it makes me sad. :(

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. Being a new collector, I've bought only 2 items from SSC and still my waitlist converted. I believe I was one of early waitlisters since i was checking every 15 minutes for the waitlist to go up. I had my Joker 2.0 EX waitlist convert as well.

To be honest to hear when some have got on the waitlist and then heard their waitlist had converted, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that SS doesn't go by the order that a person got on it, but by how much that person spends with him.

Really; doesn't anyone have any proof of anything otherwise? It's like their contests; I swear I see some of the same names popping up as winners every now and then, and they even admitted to me the same person can win multiple times.

Sorry but thats a little paranoid. I have not spent a penny with them and my waitlist converted

Surprisingly, my last flex payment is still scheduled for this Friday and hasn't been pushed back? Has anyone else's been moved or are we really going to see this in July? :dunno

Also, for that matter, neither has my final flex for TASM hasn't been changed either and due 7/5.

I'm in the same boat. Final flex for Hulk and Catwoman was moved without notification from July to August. But ASM final flex is the 10th and BD Mark VII is the 15th. I'd have to say its pretty clear ASM will be moved to August, but I'm hoping BD Mark VII does make it out by the end of July.

Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but it very well could be what happens...however SS would never admit to it, as well they shouldn't. It makes sense for them from a profit standpoint to keep their "big spenders" happy and buying more. People can doubt all they want, but the reality is that when you've worked with as many companies as I have, you start to see a pattern. Profit is the primary motivation. You would be shocked (or not) to see how some companies are run. I'm not knocking SS if this is the case, it simply is what it is. (I'm on the WL for this as well) Also, if you think that contest winners run by most small(er) companies are completely selected at random, you need a lesson in America 101. Just saying.

I agree with this.

I'm not sure this is what SS is doing, but it makes sense. Its like volume incentives. With many businesses, the more volume you buy, the cheaper each individual piece is. Like a case of beer. Buy a draft at a bar for $5. Buy a 6 pack for $10. Buy a case for $30.

Of course I buy everything from SS so I hope this is how they work.:wave But I doubt it. With the volume they sell, that would be a lot of work. I would guess its either in order of time, or completely random who gets a conversion???? Who knows ???

It's a nice theory. I actually have more on PO than I have in hand and my WL converted. I hope more conversions happen to the loyal fan base. Ebay is already flooded with flippers waiting like jackals to collect a big pay day. I'd never consider selling mine. Too badass to let go.

True, true. My friend just quit from a marketing company with a bunch of rich *******s that were blatantly racist. The whole company was stereotype driven, but it still made money.

I haven't bought a single thing from Sideshow and my waitlist converted.

That's the flip-side...they want to hook brand new buyers :lol jk...I have no idea what they're up to...who does really. Sometimes employees don't even know what goes on behind the scenes. Anyhow, congrats on your WL conversion...I'm more than a little jealous :monkey2

your waitlist has a timestamp and the conversion is based on next order placed. i'm also sure that the lower the waitlist order number that starts with a W, the first to be recalled and converted.

Funny, but it may be true...not saying it absolutely is in this case with SSC, but I've seen it first hand. Most companies aren't all about fairness, butterflies, and warm fuzzes. They're about money. Now, I'm not trying to start arguments, just saying that more often than not, things aren't as cut and dry as everyone thinks.

Business is business.
And it's all about making money.
To be fair, conspiracy theories aside, i wouldn't be surprised if SS has a database of people who have ordered many times but cancelled many times also, and dole out conversions to them last(If at all).
I have read on the forum here about people who ordered figures and cancelled(Which is fair enough. Sometimes life take priority over toys after all), but who then go on the list and cancel again and again.
I wonder if SS makes a note of that...
