How long do deliveries take from SS to you?
I get my deliveries to Illinois, and it takes a week, lol.

Hey, a fellow Illinoisan:wave

That's just where his smuggler lives :lol:lol

Lol.
What the Kid said.
I am in Scotland, as said to the left.
But a friend of mine in Illinois allows me to use his business address to ship all my SS stuff to. He then just re-addresses it to me and forwards it on.
Initially, it was the only reason I was able to get one of these.
Then they opened up European ordering.
Sorry for the confusion.
I am still in Scotland.

Can't believe the ridiculous amount this figure is going for. I might decide to part with mine. Trade for a Batmobile 89 would be nice :)

EVERY hot toys figure i've received from sideshow has been decimated. i deemed it was necessary to pack out if i ever wanted to receive an undamaged shipper and collector box.

another reason BBTS is my first choice unless ss has an exclusive version. free pack out with pro bubble wrap.

Its nice if they do that but almost every HT or SS item I have gotten from SS was fine, I can only think of one that was a bit damaged but it was only the box not the figure. And honestly I usually keep all of mine so I don't really care if the box is a it dinged, but with this one im not sure if im gonna keep it so better safe than sorry.

I am not sure i understand the usage of the word Decimate in the post you quoted.
There are two meanings to the word. One is:
"To Kill, Destroy, or remove a large part of"
And the other is:
"To reduce by a value of one tenth of the total".

I wonder if the original poster means every item he has received from SS has had one tenth of the parts missing, or if every item came almost totally destroyed.
Because i am not buying that, lol.

If you can find someone whos willing to do that let me know.

I tried to put out feelers for a trade for a Tumbler.
But it's not happening, lol.

since i am the poster you speak of, i'll answer that to clear up any misconceptions. decimate to a collector can mean rendering less valuable by ways of shipping damage. this includes crushed shipper and collector box, ripped shipper and collector box, crushed shipper and collector box with damage to the figure, tire marks....that's right..tire marks from possibly a shipping company bin over one crushed figure. the incidents are numerous in the dozens of items i have ordered from sideshow direct over the last couple of years.

i switched from UPS to fedex and the damage has lessened tremendously but to save the complete headache of a return or contacting customer service to haggle over a partial credit, i just pay the $10 pack out fee. even then the 'pack out' only consists of a bigger box than the HT shipper, and one sheet of brown wrapping paper for the void. clearly HT figures were not meant to be shipped alone in the brown cardboard they provide because of shipping company abuse.

i hope this answers your questions about my definition usage. have a bright day. :lecture
