I don't think anyone can disagree that the Mei spear is superior in looks I just didn't go that route becasue when I inquired about it it was more than I wanted to spend and would come unpainted and as Im untalented in that area so would have to seek out a painter. I wish the OSK one looked like Mei's but it's whats available for the cheapos like me.

There's nothing wrong with being cheap or not wanting to spend too much money on a particular custom accessory. If it's not within your budget or you don't fee it's worth getting that's your prerogative.

I think it's just funny that there's some people that would rather dig their head in the sand and convince themselves that a $35 "accessory" will look similar to a $100 "accessory". Instead of just admitting that at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

Is it more a case that they are convincing themselves that theirs is similar, or that you want reassurance that yours is better? Ask yourself why you feel the need to compare yours to others in the first place.

All the spears produced that I've seen look great in Armored Bats's hand. Including DoggieDoc's, since he was never mentioned but deserves mention. :clap

Only issue is if you don't have one on the shelf.

I'll go with this as being the main issue. :lol :duff

Any know issues with this guy

Only issue is whether or not you have one of these sitting on your shelf with whichever spear you choose to buy for it.

If you got one, no issues!

These are high end Collectibles. If I want to spend my money on an accessory or custom that will make the hot toys figure look as best as it can, oh heck ya I'm gonna make sure I've got the best one, which I can see so far that it is.

End of story.

If you want to spend your money on a lesser costing accessory go right ahead. I'm not trying to convince you otherwise if you can't afford it or don't feel it's "practical".

It's just funny that you're trying to go avoid any type of comparison between the Toys Era Spear and the Tony Mei Spear.

Congrats. Enjoy!!

Thanks. Getting the gloves on now ready to unbox. Stayed home from work today to make sure I didn't miss UPS.

UPS guy gave me a look though - hope central doesn't tell him all times I call complaining about not having my figures on time.

Holy hell dude, you are like a broken record. Enjoy your overpriced piece of plastic while others are actually sane enough not to pay what amounts to half a figure and put it to good use on something else.

It's not about being cheap, it's about not being insane.

Just because you can't afford something doesn't mean it's not worth getting.

This applies to real life too.

Not just 3-D printed/hand painted plastic.

And just how do you know I (or we) can't afford it? We just don't happen to like putting money down the drain, it's the best explanation.

Being able to afford something does not mean one gets to buy **** left and right. You seem to enjoy your toy spear, great! Believe me when I say this, no one gives a ****. But, more power to you, nonetheless.

It's this mentality that custom lovers have that give them a bad name. No one excepts them are able to afford cool stuff in real life based on overpaying out of the ass for doll accessories. Give me a break.

Edit:

I'm going to drop this, sorry for disrupting the peace on this fine thread.

After getting Knightmare, I'm actually impressed with what HT has done with the BvS line. It this guy really a statue like many say?

If you're not comfortable paying a specific value for a custom maybe you should look into doing more research and finding out just how much trouble and effort the artist put into making the custom. Instead of crying about how it's money down the drain.

It's just funny that people like you and others are so mad about me saying that a $35 custom spear won't compare to a $100 custom spear.

You guys need to get over it lol

It's nothing more than an accessory that isn't absolutely required in order to make the figure look great, because it looks great on its own. Why does there even need to be a comparison in the first place? The only one who feels the urge to compare them is you and as I've already encouraged you to do, ask yourself why you even feel the extreme need to do so in the first place. Especially if you genuinely feel that you have the best one available and paid a fair amount for it, as you just said.

People have already stated multiple times that you're free to spend your money however you like, just as they are. People have also already told you and reassured you that the accessory for your toy is better, as it does look awesome. It's just not $70 more better. Simple as that.

Not sure what you want people to admit. :dunno
