Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Figure

Dead, huh? Well, my low expectations for this movie just got even lower. Cranston would be a scene-stealer - and would have made a great Luthor.

:slap I despair, I really do!

Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Figure

Lol. Trust me, WB is going to get the most out of that batmobile. You'll see it in BvS, maybe in SS, a solo Batfilm and who knows where else.

You've not seen the photos from the Batman/Joker chase that was filmed for SS have you? :wink1:

Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Figure

The Batmobile is likely in SS as it was spotted on set during a chase which unless its cut means it will appear... I am hoping they don't do a Marvel with these heroes and the costumes and Batmobile are largely unchanged between them

We actually don't know if that scene is a flashback because one of the joker scenes with the car is a Harley Flashback origin or at least thats the rumor.

Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Figure

Agreed. They probably see The Dark Knight bat-signal collectible sets as a failure and are trying to avoid repeating the same mistake by releasing a set people don't want to buy. They don't seem to understand or believe collectors actually want to buy this set.

Your post is somehow contradicting itself. Some people don't want the Armored Batman and the Batsignal as a set, as much as some people didn't want the other sets HT's previously released, and yes HT must have figured that out and that's the only thing to understand. I don't want the set. Why should HT give NO option to those who only want the Armored Batman?

Making the Armored Batman and the Batsignal 2 separate items is already an option that should make both camps happy.

Why keep asking for a set? Because those who want it believe that HT would offer a substantial discount? A discount that won't be too big as it would be a loss to those who don't want to keep it?

Anyone wants the signal so badly, then spend for it.

Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Figure

It's not a huge deal to me if they don't release a set, but to me it would make the most sense to release the bat-signal that way only from a marketing standpoint. The very first footage the general public ever saw from this movie was Armored Batman standing next to the bat-signal with the big blue red eye guy in the sky. That image is seared into my mind and I imagine plenty of other people as well.

For me, it's similar to the HT Iron Man Mark 3 construction version. I considered buying it, but it didn't make sense without a Tony Stark because remember him in the shop repairing the suit. If they had sold a Tony Stark (that looked the way RDJ did in the first movie) with the Mark 3 as a set I would have bought it.

The Dark Knight Rises signal doesn't carry the same resonance IMO. I have no memory of Blake using it. He probably did, but did it hold the same weight as Gordon using it at the end of Batman Begins? Hell no, and that's why the Blake Bat-signal set has failed.

Again, I don't think anyone should feel like they are being forced to buy something they don't want. I would have liked HT to release Armored Batman by himself and release him in a set with the Bat-signal. They did the same for RoboCop, why can't Batman get the same love?

Hope that clears things up.

Which was a really great moment in the film, and it does drive the point that it could have been a good accessory to put as a combo option with Armored Batman... I really like the design of it on its own though so never mind if I end up with this Batman, the regular Batman or wait for the solo film that signal looks impressive.

I would probably have picked it up too if they had done that, could have made it even more a must have by including a peg to put the Tony head onto the regular Mk3 and a bullet damaged chest piece.

He stood next to it in Rises along with Gordon although it was then a rusty destroyed relic that Gordon had chosen to keep on the roof after smashing it at the end of TDK. It really didn't make sense for them to not have done a Gordon only version of that pack as though his clothes were from TDKR he wouldn't look too out of place with a BB suited Batman.

He's actually playing Big Barda in the WW spinoff.
Gimme Aaron Paul as Mr. Miracle, Peter Dinklage as Oberon, and Bob Oedenkirk as Funky Flashman, and WB will have my money.

I'm really holding out hope they release the bat-signal with Armored Bats, I still haven't bought him praying they release the pair together sometime soon. Fingers crossed

I hate when people post pictures like this.

It just makes me depressed at how far comic writing has fallen.

Most HT diecast figures are more plastic than diecast and it would cost $50 to $100 more just for something that is a little heavier.

Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Figure

premium collectibles has him for $221.00 on pre order

Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Figure

I was expecting the cliched response that is "diecast has heft that feels good, as weight is tantamount to quality". Them looking nicer is a surprise, but somehow feels like a reason pulled out of a hat.

Ever wondered why people would ask the photo-reviewers which part is diecast and which is plastic, and ever wondered why even the reviewers would disclaim that they are not 100% sure before they tell us which parts MIGHT BE diecast or not?

With diecast figures -- I mean figures with SOME diecast material, the only thing that we can all be certain of is that it's MORE EXPENSIVE, well at least if it's from HT. Because I just bought a lot of diecast BvS items from Jada Toys (including the 1:24 BvS Batmobile) and they made me realize how ridiculously overpriced chunks of plastic Funko Pops and Egg Attack figures are, as well as those tiny "die-cast" Hot Wheels bat-vehicles.

Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Figure

Finally gave in and pre-ordered Armored Bats, I keep looking at the fig and knew I had to pull the trigger sooner or later. lol
