He might have kept weapons in the fridge, as when on a mission Bucky was usually not in one place very long. He sure wasn't stocking the fridge, or buying gun cabinets. He was a highly-trained operative "behind enemy lines" for Hydra, so to speak, and he lived as such. During several Hydra missions, Bucky would go rogue for weeks or months at a time, once being found living in a NYC flophouse. He often lived VERY rough.
Hydra would have to go find him, and he wasn't easy to find at all. "The asset," they call him. "We must recover the asset."
I became super curious about Bucky's origin, which I knew the sketchy details of but wanted to flesh out. For those feeling likewise, allow me to recommend the following TPB - rather expensive but totally worth it, IMO - and you'll know all there is to know so far.

I think a lot of female fans tend to downscale Bucky's threat level, imagining that he was "scared" or that he was a frail, fragile soul. While Bucky is UNDOUBTABLY a tragic figure - just a LITTLE!! wow - he was no coward and no patsy. He absolutely meant business.
Appreciate the link!
Well, can't speak for all female fans, but srsly for myself - srsly - Bucky/WS is a favorite re being IMO a complex, tragic figure as presented on screen, at this point w. a fragmented mind - pretty much as the Russos and Sebastian Stan describe in different articles about the character. What's happened to Bucky is pretty horrific.
But IMO you can't think of Bucky as frail re the simple fact that he SURVIVED what was done, and also, apparently, in some deep corner of his mind, was able to preserve himself - e.g., he recognizes Steve. I got the impression - tho it's not depicted, really, in the films - that WS was a favorite of the Soviets, because he was both strong,
and intelligent. Even if they had to repeatedly scramble his brain to keep him in line. Only the strongest survive Hydra - Bucky, the twins, even Red Skull. IMO Bucky coming to terms w. the mayhem he's done is another kind of strength "I remember all of them" (tho I'd argue, like Hawkeye/Loki, if you are "de-selfed" then it isn't "you" which CA understands and IM is too angry to hear in CW...)
IMO the "real" Bucky is a great guy, honorable, but he's a SOLDIER and behaves like one e.g. he can and will kill.
WS on a mission
is absolutely deadly
. IMO we even see a bit of that in the first CA, with Bucky being a sharpshooter. Completely focused. As Sebastian Stan commented, the Winter Soldier is someone who'd kill you with anything at hand. Or like Widow says, "he shot him right through me". Less of that in CW because Bucky is just trying to get away, most of the time, but even so there's a bunch of German Special Forces guys recovering someplace
It's interesting IMO that Bucky DOESN'T try to kill IM, at the last, simply disable him.
IMO the Russos and the actor and writers etc. have been amazing depicting this character's arc. Some fans like me just having some fun
waiting for our new figs
, and the *&^%$ films which never come fast enough (2018?????!!!!!!
). IMO worth getting two Buckys and some accessories in the meantime to work with.
So far I've had no luck matching the Harley in 1:6 scale, but just started looking....
